{Seokmin has a bad day and goes to his favorite hyungs for help}
Lee Seokmin's feet felt heavy as he paced the dormitory hallway. He had had the worst day ever in recorded bad days. It began when he overslept as he accidentally set his alarm for six pm and not 6 am. He was then an hour behind schedule for the rest of the day. He had a project to present in his economics class and it took what little energy he had. By lunch, he felt like crashing. To add to his bad day, he hadn't packed a safe lunch and whatever the school was serving did not appeal to him in the slightest. So, he didn't eat. By his last class, he was dragging and sluggish. He wanted to go back to his room, under his weighted blanket, and headphones to cancel the world out until he felt some semblance of being human once more, but as the pattern had gone all day, Seokmin's wish was not granted.
His roommate, Kim Mingyu, was usually lovely company and they had gotten along well despite friendly bickering, but today was just not one of those days. The moment Seokmin walked in, Mingyu talked. Normally, Seokmin enjoyed Mingyu's ramblings as they provided a source of entertainment, but his mind felt fuzzy and far away. Each word from Mingyu's mouth felt grating and wordlessly, Seokmin rushed out of their room and into the hall as he started to pace. Unfortunately, pacing wasn't enough of a regulation and he had to resort to hand flapping, which he hated doing, but it helped. He was calming down some. Instead of pacing back and forth, he began to walk with purpose and found himself in front of Jeonghan's and Sungcheol's shared dorm room door.
Choi Sungcheol and Yoon Jeonghan were two years older than him but were his best and closest friends. They were like his big brothers. They understood him like no one else and Seokmin always found comfort in them. He knocked twice on their door and waited politely. Jeonghan came to the door in an oversized hoodie and some shorts. He gave Seokmin a bright smile.
"Hey! What brings you here?"
Seokmin was about to explain, but words were hard and they stuck in his throat. Jeonghan seemed to pick on it and he simply asked, "No words?"
Seokmin nodded, relieved to have been understood. Jeonghan nodded and invited him in. Sitting in a bean bag chair in front of the television, was Sungcheol playing a video game. He saw Seokmin and gave him a quick greeting before resuming his game. Used to Seokmin's random visits, they let him do whatever he wanted and needed to do. So, it was no surprise to them when Seokmin lay flat on the floor. Jeonghan watched him in amusement and waited until the younger was comfortable.
"Pressure?" He questioned.
Seokmin nodded.
"Who do you want? Me or Cheollie?"
Sungcheol paused the game and waited for the younger to make his choice. When he was chosen, he handed the controller to a more than eager Jeonghan.
"I'm so going to beat your ass."
"You're playing as me. How does that work?"
Jeonghan shrugged and smirked in a way only Yoon Jeonghan could. Sungcheol shook his head as he carefully situated himself atop Seokmin, slowly putting his body weight on top of him. The younger sighed in relief and let his hands card through Sungcheol's soft hair. He took delight in noting that his friend's hair smelt like cherries. a scent they both loved. He calmed himself by focusing on his current senses being stimulated. He noted the pressure from Sungcheol's body weight, the cherry scent of the older's hair, tiny sounds from the video game, the dimly lit fairy lights illuminating the room. He was coming back to his body again. It was starting to not feel as foreign anymore. It didn't feel so wrong.
After getting further than Sungcheol in the game, Jeonghan scooted himself closer to the duo. He watched Seokmin carefully as he analyzed. Finally, he moved to a cabinet in their dorm that was labeled 'Minnie's Corner'. It held all of Seokmin's favorite snacks that Sungcheol always managed to buy in bulk. He held a chip up to Seokmin's mouth.
"Open up." He encouraged.
Seokmin gave him a puzzled look but took the chip anyway. He could never resist his favorite salty snack and it satisfied his last sense, bringing him fully to himself. Jeonghan smiled like a proud parent.
"You haven't eaten at all, have you?" He asked, gently pushing the hair out of Seokmin's eyes. "I could hear your stomach growling over the game."
Sungcheol frowned down at him. "That's not like you. You usually have safe foods stashed away in your bag." Most of the time, they were put there by Sungcheol himself.
Seokmin shook his head. Sungcheol took a second to process. "You ran out?" He questioned.
More nodding. Sungcheol motioned for Jeonghan to pack Seokmin a bag to find that his boyfriend was already doing so. He smiled fondly and laid his head down on Seokmin's chest while Jeonghan continued to feed the younger.
An hour went by in comfortable silence and before long, Jeonghan joined them, mindful not to touch Seokmin unexpectedly. He gave the younger earplugs and an eyemask, covering Sungcheol, who had fallen asleep. with a spare blanket. The three lay in an odd pile but were content as they drifted off to sleep. Seokmin's bad day washed off him like a tidal wave. He was thankful to have such wonderful friends like Jeonghan and Sungcheol and they were thankful to have someone like Seokmin in their life. Despite the pressure, they had each other.
