As they stepped into the eerie silence of the house, the air clung to them like a damp shroud, heavy with the stench of decay. Tsukyu, with her shape-shifting abilities, transformed into a duplicate of herself and vanished into the darkness, scouting ahead. Akira ignited his sword, casting flickering flames that danced across the walls like restless spirits. Drago, still shaken from the cursed barrier, stood guard at the entrance, his eyes scanning the shadows. Kameuto began examining the strange symbols etched into the walls, trying to decipher their meaning. Helena Roswell wandered into a room that seemed to be some sort of laboratory, filled with strange equipment and jars containing unidentifiable specimens.
Suddenly, Tsukyu's duplicate returned, her eyes wide with fear. "You won't believe what I found upstairs..." she whispered. They followed her up to the second floor, where she pointed to a chest covered in blood. "Look, look inside..."
As they opened the chest, they found only a letter, stained with crimson. Kameuto read it aloud:
"Please close the door at night and turn on the lights. The Hungers are afraid of sunlight; that's why they come at night. They hide in caves or dark places. I'm a scientist from the USA, my name is John Kane. Be careful... and find a way to escape. There'll be a way... Goodbye forever..."
The group exchanged uneasy glances, their hearts racing. They tried to flee, but a Hunger had already entered the house. With a burst of telekinetic power, the creature sent them flying across the kitchen. Kameuto managed to jump clear, punching the Hunger and sending it tumbling out onto the seashore. He slammed the door shut, but night had fallen, and the creatures were more formidable than ever.
The group's supernatural abilities were faltering, weakened by the curse. As the darkness deepened, the house creaked and groaned, and the scratching, scuttling sounds of the Hungers echoed through the walls, making it seem like they were surrounding the house. Kameuto tried to barricade the doors, but Akira's flames were too weak to provide adequate light, and Drago's strength was waning. Helena's medicines couldn't heal their wounds fast enough, and Tsukyu's shape-shifting was unpredictable.
In desperation, Kameuto charged into the fray, determined to protect his friends. He noticed that the Hungers were protecting something - a crystal in their bodies. Fueled by rage and fear, Kameuto bit into each Hunger's crystal, consuming them. The creatures began to pray to him, and his body began to change, contorting into a Hunger-like shape.
His mind had reached an extreme level, and his body had begun to mutate. The others watched in horror as Kameuto transformed, unsure if he was still their ally or a monster like the ones they fought. The night wore on, and the Hungers closed in, sensing their chance to strike...
