The circle of survival;
It never ends.
Nobody knows
How or where it begins.
It keeps on going
Day by day;
Try as you might
You can't get away.
Let me explain;
This is not about life.
It's about coping
With day-to-day strife.
Living and surviving
Are different indeed.
Life is an option,
Survival's a need.
And if you don't really live,
At least you survive;
But if you fail at surviving
You're gonna die.
Death, though not wanted,
Is welcome here still,
Testing the power of struggles
Against the power of will.
Death can be tempting,
A strange sort of friend.
But the circle of survival,
It never ends.
