The fit:
I was sitting on a chair next to Jay as my mom was screaming at Manny while he was playing soccer on the field. I was just watching. Manny isn't the athletic type you know. Like he can't play soccer or any sport for that matter. He as he likes to call it "the romantic type" but I just think he is delusional.Jay was sitting next to me reading the newspaper. I'm not opposed to his and my Mom marriage I want her to be happy. Is it weird? Yes. But it's not me marrying the guy so I'm fine with it.
"Anything interesting today?" I ask him turning away from the game.
He looks at me confused for a moment what I just say. Yes sometimes people can't understand me because of my accent but I don't think it's that bad.
"Oh...uh not really" He face back to the newspaper and I turn back around.
"Go, Manny, go! Kick it! Don't let him -- kick it!" Mom shouts at Manny who is trying to get the ball. As he trying to get the ball someone trips him.
"He tripped him! Where's the penalty?!" Mom turns to the reff and I get up deciding I should not make Mom look like the only crazy Columbian.
"Manny go to the ball! Push the kid back!" I shout out to many as I point to the ball.
"Girls, they're oh and six. Let's take it down a notch. And you can't push people in soccer." I scoff
"He pushed him first the kid should get face full of shit." I look back to the game. Do I love my brother yes but is he annoying? Also yes. Though that kid really should get a face full of shit I wasn't lying.
"Language" Mom and Jay say at the same time and I roll my eyes.
I watch the game. Me and my mom continuing shouting at Manny. Just then an opposing player gets the ball. It's only Manny between him and the goal.
