They both look at the singular bed in the cramped bedroom of the crappy motel that Bianca resides in.

"I'll sleep on the floor," Bianca moved to take one of the two pillows on her bed but was stopped short when Wednesday gripped her arm.

"There's no need. The bed is big enough for two people." Wednesday said.

The thought of Wednesday being near her already sent a blush creeping up from her neck. She faltered for a bit, thinking about sleeping right next to the raven-haired girl, knowing that if they were facing each other, just moving a bit closer would cause their lips to touch. Bianca shook these thoughts out of her head.

"Aren't you allergic to sleeping in the same bed as another person or something?" Bianca asked.

"No. I won't put bedbugs in there, you know? There's no need to look so afraid," Wednesday turned to face Bianca.

The siren begrudgingly accepted and gave in, climbing onto one side of the bed and Wednesday climbing onto the other. They turned off the bedside lamps. It was complete silence. Unnerving, terrifying silence. Bianca lay awake, not daring to toss nor turn to avoid disturbing Wednesday. She didn't know if she was awake or asleep. She didn't even know if she was alive from the lack of movement from her side of the bed. However, she could feel her warmth and it was taking her every bit of self-control not to snuggle up to her.

Finally, sleep took over her and she fell into a deep sleep and dreamt about Wednesdays and homicide. At eight in the morning, she was awakened by the smell of coffee. She groggily got up and walked to the tiny kitchen where she found Wednesday cooking.

"I thought you would never get up," Wednesday said, wiping her hands on an apron that Bianca had no idea where she found, not looking away from the egg that she was frying.

"How long have you been up, Wednesday?" Bianca asked, looking at the ridiculous amount of food on the table that she knew she could never finish.

"Three hours and thirty-two minutes. Would you like some coffee?" Wednesday gestured towards the pot of delicious-smelling coffee.

"Wait. You woke up at five?" Bianca questioned while pouring herself a cup.

"Yes. I enjoy being productive." she replied as she stacked the perfectly fried egg on top of a dozen others on the table.

"Where did you buy all of this food?"

"Threatened a woman downstairs with a knife,"

"Wednesday. You can't go around threatening people,"

She gave a groan of annoyance and sat down at the table, "Are you going to try this food or not?"

Bianca put down the mug and put a pancake on her plate that was thoroughly drizzled with maple syrup, "This is amazing, Wednesday. Never knew you could cook,"

"My parents decided I could focus my mastery of using sharp objects on more non-violent matters,"

"Should've guessed. Is there ever going to be a normal explanation coming from you, Wednesday?"

"Afraid not." Wednesday said as she helped put some elegantly fried eggs on Bianca's plate.

Bianca couldn't help but admire that look of concentration on Wednesday's face while she was working. As she put another bite of pancakes in her mouth, some maple syrup got onto the corner of her mouth.

"Oh. It seems you have a little syrup on your face," Wednesday said, with a small smile gracing her lips.

Bianca blushed slightly and tries to use a tissue to wipe it off, but it was still there. Wednesday leaned across the table and used her thumb to get it off from the corner of her mouth. Then, it was as if time itself had stopped, the distance between the two of them was so close. Their faces could almost touch. Their lips could almost touch. Wednesday quickly sat back down on her seat and went back to eating her eggs while Bianca was having a mental breakdown inside of her head.

"So, we should probably head to the border soon. I called Lurch on your phone yesterday and he told me that he has been waiting the entire night." Wednesday told her after clearing her throat.

"Oh, yeah, sure. We can get the car started after we've finished eating," Bianca dug in on her meal like she's never eaten before. The only food she's eaten since school holidays started was diner scraps that usually tasted horrible.

They went back on the road after some time and continued their short journey in comfortable silence. Finally, they reached the border and saw a little old car with a massive guy standing in front of it. As the guy was saw them, he moved forward robotically and hauled all of Wednesday's luggage into the trunk of the old car.

"Bianca, meet Lurch. Lurch, meet Bianca." Wednesday introduced.

Bianca took over a hand of Lurch to shake and he did so with very little energy. Bianca thought that something about him made her a bit afraid. She made a mental note of avoiding him after that.
