1. It always starts with a Prologue

"Dinner's ready!" Margaret called everyone else of the family down for dinner. After that, 9 other people came downstairs for the massive feast served for ten.

This family is called the Crazypins. If their names didn't give it out already, these 10 family members are supposedly a group of bowling pins. Supposedly, as in they don't have the physique that allows them to enjoy being hit by a bowling ball half as big as them or anything larger than that. Like any normal living thing, they get hurt when that happens. They can still handle regular-sized bowling balls with no problem.

Outside of the fact that they are bowling pins, the Crazypins family is, surprisingly for a family called "CRAZY" pins, otherwise a normal family where each family member has the time to pursue their own hobbies and interests.

...well, HALF of the time. Other times some wizard or pixie or whatever species this short guy called The Hand is would enter the Pin House to 'play' with the family, all often ending up in severely dangerous situations. It usually involves The Hand throwing a bowling ball at the Crazypins and tipping them over to their fear, pain and suffering. The Crazypins do not live in the underworld of a bowling alley; Their home IS the bowling alley to The Hand himself. That's why the Crazypins all subjectively HATE this dude whenever he shows up, despite The Hand healing the Crazypins after every time he hurts them as if he never did that. Whenever The Hand shows up to 'play', the Crazypins know the next many minutes are going to be HELL to go through.

But now's not the time to think about The Hand. Yet. They already went through The Hand's "game" earlier today. What matters now is they got themselves some time before The Hand comes back for them, with the next day being his earliest convenience. They should enjoy the normal part of their life while they still can.

Margaret, the one that called everyone down for dinner earlier, is the mother of everyone in the family. If the fact that she cooked this whole dinner for everyone in the family didn't prove that she is the best mother a family could have, I don't know what will prove so.

The one that's already sitting opposite to Margaret's seat is Duncan. He's the one who is gladly married to Margaret. Despite being a bit older than Margaret, Duncan isn't really a father figure of the family, more so a GRANDfather figure. The Hand 'plays' with EVERYONE in the family. Even Duncan is not safe from The Hand's abuse. If it wasn't for his wife Margaret, he would have been fed up with it all.

"Ooh, what's for dinner tonight?" Rocky is the first one to come down to the dinner table, as per tradition for every dinner this family had ever had. He's that family member who has a great appetite AND a sweet tooth. Margaret made sure that she cooked extra just for him, otherwise he could be snatching other people's servings.

"Whatever. As long as it's edible, it's going in my mouth." Vincent, the one wearing loose clothes and a cap, said with the signature dead-pan expression on his face. He's usually seen with a flat mouth and gloomy eyes that spell "Ennui" unlike the rest of the family. The Hand's 'games' made him the first family member to lose his sanity. If the Crazypins had any access to therapy they would have sent him there in the first place.

Vincent doesn't really have a disdain towards this family, unlike Rob. Rob HATES being in this family. He thinks that it's the family's fault that he's tortured by The Hand again and again. Being the only member of the family who bears arms, he once tried to shoot The Hand with his gun before only for The Hand to summon a machine gun that fires A HUNDRED BULLETS BACK. It was most likely since then he cannot see from his right eye. Nevertheless, he still came to the dinner table without saying a word.

"My favorites are all here! Thanks for the meal, mom!" Charlie gladly remarked. He is the youngest member of the family and the other members have been giving him a good enough life for him to not be depressed over what The Hand has made him go through. He probably still has trust issues for the unknown, but for the most part when The Hand isn't there to harass the family he's seen with a smile on his face.
