Anyana Hayes desperately despised the word unique. It was a moderate and diminished adjective which was only purposed to lighten the blow of a much more complicated and spiteful display. She had always been labelled as unique; but rather she knew that it was as much as an insult as being called different or strange. Unique wasn't when she was able to completely and seamlessly disappear from the human eye, or even further when her hazel and azure coloured eyes turned a striking combination of grey and blue; that was never unique but rather spectacular. Or as some would say, exceptional.
