The room felt suffocating as Yuri's confession hung in the air. Jihyo and I sat across from her, our faces pale and our minds racing to process the gravity of what she had just said. Yuri's tears fell freely, mingling with the silent confusion that enveloped us.

"I don't know what to do," Yuri sobbed, clutching Jihyo's hand tightly. "I think I'm pregnant with Bangchan's baby."

The weight of her words seemed to press down on us, making it hard to breathe. We were just 17—still trying to navigate our own lives, and now faced with this overwhelming reality. I glanced at Jihyo, who looked equally stunned and lost for words.

"We... we need to tell Bangchan," I finally managed to say, trying to find a semblance of clarity in the chaos. "He deserves to know, Yuri."

But Yuri shook her head vehemently, her fear and desperation evident. "No, I can't. What if he leaves me too? I can't handle that right now. If he leaves me, it'll just prove that he never really cared for me—he just used me."

Her words struck a painful chord. If Bangchan chose to walk away, it would indeed reflect poorly on his character, revealing a side that was more about physical desire than genuine affection. I could see the agony in Yuri's eyes, the fear of rejection and abandonment consuming her.

"Yuri," I said softly but firmly, "You need to have this conversation with him. It's not just about you anymore—it's about the baby too. If he truly cares, he'll step up. If not, then you deserve to know that, and so does the baby."

Jihyo nodded in agreement, her voice steady despite the turmoil. "We'll support you no matter what, but you can't keep this a secret. You deserve honesty from him, just like you need to be honest with yourself."

The room fell silent again as Yuri's sobs became quieter. The reality of the situation was harsh and unforgiving, but facing it was the only way forward. The three of us—still reeling from our own mistakes and uncertainties—had to find a way to deal with this together.

The evening was meant to be a simple gathering, a way to momentarily escape the weight of the day. I had invited Bangchan, Mingyu, and Jungkook over for dinner, hoping a friendly meal would provide a sense of normalcy. As we finished our meal and the laughter of shared memories filled the room, I could see the heaviness in Yuri's eyes. It was time.

When Yuri finally gathered the courage to speak, the room fell silent. She took a deep breath and addressed Bangchan, her voice trembling. "Bangchan, there's something I need to tell you."

Bangchan looked up, curiosity mixed with a hint of amusement. "What is it, Yuri?"

She pulled out the pregnancy test from her bag, holding it up for him to see. The two lines were unmistakable. The room's atmosphere shifted instantly from casual to tense. At first, Bangchan laughed, thinking it was some kind of elaborate prank. But the laughter faded as he realized the seriousness in Yuri's eyes.

"This isn't a joke, Bangchan," Yuri said, her voice cracking. "I'm pregnant, and you're the father."

The shock that spread across Bangchan's face was palpable. He stared at the test, then at Yuri, his expression turning from disbelief to a cold, harsh reality.

"I... I don't want this," Bangchan said finally, his voice edged with panic. "I don't want a baby. This is too much."

The room seemed to close in around us as the weight of his words sank in. I glanced at Jungkook, hoping for some support, but instead, he said something that shattered my heart.

"This might be a lie," Jungkook said, his tone more clinical than compassionate. "It could be some other guy's baby, not Bangchan's. How do we even know for sure?"

His words were like a punch to the gut. The betrayal I felt was immediate and intense. How could he doubt Yuri so easily? How could he question the sincerity of this moment, especially when the stakes were so high?

Mingyu looked around, his face a mixture of shock and concern. "Jungkook, that's not helping right now. We need to deal with this situation, not add more doubt and hurt."

Yuri's face fell as she looked between the men in the room, the reality of her situation hitting her hard. The laughter that had once filled the room was replaced by a somber silence, broken only by the sounds of Yuri's quiet sobs.

I stood there, feeling the weight of the moment and the painful divisions it created. The night had started with a semblance of normalcy, but it had ended with an undeniable fracture in our lives.
