My heart was racing, a mix of happiness, excitement, and nerves all at once. Ma'am Anosha started teaching again, but my mind was somewhere else. I kept recalling all those moments. How could I forget the best part of my life—my 7th class?

**FLASHBACK...*

---

The classroom buzzed with nervous energy as the teacher prepared to hand out midterm results. She stood at the front of the class, calling out names one by one. As each student's name was announced, they nervously approached the desk to receive their paper. Among them was Anaya, who walked up when her name was called. The teacher handed her the paper with a gentle smile.

"Anaya baby, do better next time," the teacher said kindly.

Anaya nodded, taking her paper and heading back to her seat. She glanced at the grades on her paper, her expression falling slightly. Just then, the teacher called out another name.

"Rayaan..."

Anaya looked up to see a small boy sitting two rows behind her. He was cute but clearly scared. His hands trembled as he walked up to collect his paper and then quickly returned to his seat. Anaya couldn't help but watch him, noticing how he seemed more anxious than anyone else in the room. The bell rang, and the classroom erupted in noise as students hurriedly packed their bags and rushed out.

Rayaan, however, was different. He quietly packed his bag and slipped out of the room, almost unnoticed.

Later that day, the school was nearly empty, with most students having already left. Anaya wandered through the halls, waiting for someone to pick her up. As she walked, she suddenly heard a soft crying sound coming from the backyard. Curious, she followed the sound and found a boy sitting alone on the steps, his back turned towards her. In his hand was a test paper with a big red "F" marked on it.

Anaya, ever the loud one, immediately exclaimed, "Chalo sath mein fail hote hain!"

Startled, the boy turned to face her, revealing his tear-streaked cheeks. Without hesitation, Anaya quickly plopped down beside him on the step, as if she was on a mission to cheer him up.

"Dekho, hum midterms mein tou fail ho hi gaye hain, ab finals mein bhi ho jate hain. Kaun kare ab double mehnat?" she said, her words coming out rapidly.

Rayaan blinked at her, his face still sad but now more puzzled than anything else. Anaya noticed he wasn't responding, so she leaned in closer, peering at him with curiosity.

"Tum gunge ho kya? Kuch bolte hi nahi ho..." she teased, waving her hands around dramatically as if trying to communicate in sign language. Her fingers twisted and turned in random motions, resembling a mix of jazz hands and an attempt at semaphore.

Rayaan's serious expression faltered as he watched her, and after a moment of silence, he finally spoke in a soft voice.

"Par meri mummy gussa karengi."

Anaya's face lit up as she heard him speak.

"Oh, finally, tum bol sakte ho!" she exclaimed, letting out a dramatic sigh of relief.

She then added, "Han tou kya huwa? Fail hona bhi bohat bara kaam hai. Dekho, pass tou sari class hoti hai, fail tou kuch hi hote hain. Idhar lao apna paper..."

Rayaan hesitated, but eventually handed her his paper. Anaya took out a red pen from her bag and, with a determined focus, she carefully altered the "F" on his paper to a "B." Rayaan watched her in amazement, as if she was performing some kind of magic trick. When she handed the paper back to him, his eyes lit up, and a smile spread across his face.

"Thank you," Rayaan said, his voice now filled with gratitude.

Anaya beamed at him and asked, "Tou phir... Friends?"

Rayaan's smile widened, and he responded with a firm, "Friends!"

They shook hands, sealing their friendship with that simple gesture.

Suddenly, I snapped back to reality as ma'am Anosha called my name.

Ma'am: *"Anayaa... tumne apna assignment nahi bheja abhi tak. Aaj last date hai."*

Anaya: *"Sorry, ma'am, mai karti hoon abhi email."*
