Their conversation continued..."Okay, fine," he said, his voice exasperated. "I'll finish my studies, and then I'll come back to you. Can you wait for me?"

She hesitated, her heart racing with excitement. "Y-yes, I'll wait for you."

"Good," he said, his voice dripping with insincerity. "I'll be back soon."

She hung up the phone, a glimmer of hope in her chest. Maybe, just maybe, he would come back to her.

But little did she know, he was just playing another game. He had no intention of coming back to her. He just wanted to get rid of her, to shut her up.

But deep down she was holding a hope that her love will make him come back to her.....

As soon as he hung up the phone, he turned to his friends and laughed. "Can you believe that? She's still falling for it."

His friends high-fived him, impressed by his manipulation. "Dude, you're a genius."

He smiled, feeling proud of himself. "Yeah, I know. I can get anyone to do what I want."

But deep down, a tiny voice whispered, "You're a monster."
