Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and months turned into years. But her love for him never wavered.

She went about her daily routine, but her heart remained stuck in the past. She never looked at anyone else, never considered moving on.

Her friends and family tried to intervene, to get her to see reason. "He's not worth it," they'd say. "You deserve better."

But she couldn't help the way she felt. She loved him, and that's all that mattered.

She'd see his face in crowds, hear his voice in the wind. She'd dream of him at night, wake up thinking of him in the morning.

Her love had become an all-consuming force, a constant reminder of what could never be.

And yet, she wouldn't trade it for the world. For in loving him, she had experienced a depth of emotion she never knew possible.

So she held on to the love, even as it hurt her. Even as it kept her from living.
