As they sat on a bench in the park the moonlight and the soft rustle of leaves in the trees, Emily's breathing slowly returned to normal. Mia held her hand, a comforting presence that seemed to anchor Emily to the present moment. The pain had been a sudden, sharp reminder of the memories she'd tried to keep locked away.
Mia's gentle voice broke the silence. 'Hey, Em, what happened back there? You spaced out on me.'
Emily hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. But something about the peaceful surroundings and Mia's concerned expression put her at ease. She took a deep breath, emily tried to talk but her tears didn't allow her to tell.
Mia: it's ok Emi you can tell me whenever you feel right, Now let's go back the apartment its already midnight.
[They gets into their room ]
Mia was tired she went to bed quickly. but Emily was stuck in thoughts
Emily tried to sleep but she can't
Emily talking to herself : "something is haunting me it may be my past but i can't even think about it. if i do i will be left with tears.
[Next day morning A sunday]
Emily woke up early in the morning, checking something in her laptop.
Mia: oh it's a miracle! You waked up early emi.
Emily : ahh it's normal dont be over
Am taking one month leave from office qnd going back to oackwood I think there i will be relaxed.
Mia : oh thqts cool you are going on a vacation to oackwood that's great i will definitely come with you.
Emily : okkk then i will book the tickets to oackwood.
[Emily afyer booking the tickets]
Emily : ok the train to oackwood will be on tomorrow morning so go pack your bags.
[Next day early morning]
mia and emily sat in their cozy appartment surrounded by half packed suitcase and scattered clothes.
Mia : okay emi have you got everything? Checking of her list.
Emily nodded , zipping upnher bag 'yeah, i think so..
Im so exited to get put of here and to relax in oakwood
Mia grinned. "Me to i need a break from the city. And am glad that we are doing this together" .
Emily smiled, feeling greatful for her friend' s support. Thank you for being here for me my buddy.
Mia : of course emi thats what friends are for. Now lets get moving our train leaves in a few hours.
"Hey mia " Emily asked as they walked into the railway station.
Mia : yeah
Emily : mia do you believe in fate?
Mia raised eyebrows and said what do you mean?
Emily hesitated i don't know i just feel like something is goning to happen in oackwood. Something big
Mia's expression turned thoughtful
"i dont know about fate but, i do know that sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and see where life takes you.
Emily nodded, feeling a sense of determination. She was ready to face whatever comes next.
