Emily and Mia sprinted down the mansion's driveway, desperate to escape Jack's haunting presence.
As they emerged onto the winding road, a familiar taxi screeched to a halt beside them.
The taxi driver's knowing gaze met Emily's. "Need a ride, ladies?"
Emily hesitated, unsure if they should trust him.
Mia urged, "Come on, Em. We can't stay here."
Emily nodded, and they jumped into the taxi.
The driver's eyes reflected in the rearview mirror. "You're in a hurry. What's chasing you?"
Emily's voice barely above a whisper, "Jack's spirit."
The driver's expression turned solemn. "Oakwood Mansion has a dark history."
Mia leaned forward. "What do you know?"
The driver's eyes darted toward the road. "Legends say that the oakwood manision is cursed and that curse was because of a pact which was started by Emily's grandfather"
Emily's grip on the seat tightened. "What pact?"
The driver's voice lowered. "A trade: wealth and power for souls."
Mia's eyes widened. "You mean Jack's spirit is—"
The driver nodded. "Trapped. And he's not the only one."
Emily's mind reeled with the implications.
As they approached the outskirts of Chester Town, the taxi driver's demeanor shifted. His eyes seemed to hold a hidden intensity.
Emily sensed a change in him. "Who are you?" she asked, her voice firm.
The driver's smile transformed into a knowing grin. "My name is zarek. I'm a Guardian."
Mia's confusion deepened. "Guardian of what?"
Zarek's gaze met Emily's. "Of the veil between worlds. I ensure the balance remains intact."
Emily's mind reeled. "What veil?"
Zarek's voice took on a mystical tone. "The veil separating the living from the dead, the mortal realm from the spirit realm."
Mia's eyes widened. "You mean you're some kind of... supernatural taxi driver?"
Zarek chuckled. "You could say that."
Emily's thoughts connected the dots. "You knew about Jack's spirit all along."
Zarek nodded. "I've been watching you, Emily. Guiding you, when necessary."
Emily's emotions swirled.
Zarek said "Emily you are the chosen one, you are the only one who can change the fate of fernadoes family, only you can break that curse"
Emily : how will i, i didn't even knew these stories.
Zarek said "emily you knew this since the day you were born but now you can't remember it is because The time is not arrived."
Mia asked to zarek : but how we will we save ourselves from this curse until the chosen time.
Zarek : go find the way the past emily!! Now.... You will find the one who can help you, i will be there if jack came to haunt you.
Now emily and mia felt a grip of determination.
emily said i will, i will break this curse.
Mia holding Emily's hands tightly and saying "i will be there for you at your worst."
