As the night of December 31st drew near, Seonghwa felt a strange sense of numbness wash over him. The festive decorations that adorned the streets of Seoul did little to lift his spirits as he walked, head bowed, towards the crowded plaza at the Seoul Grand Park.

It seemed that everyone else was caught up in the excitement of the holiday season, but for Seonghwa, New Year's Eve this year held no special meaning. In fact, it was quite the opposite.

His thoughts turned to the events that had taken place only a month ago, when his fiancée, Hayeon, had broken off their engagement without any explanation.

It had been a devastating blow for Seonghwa, and he had struggled to come to terms with the sudden change in his life. He had tried to move on, but the memory of Hayeon still haunted him, leaving him feeling lost and alone.

As the midnight hour approached, Seonghwa found himself standing among the crowds of people who had gathered to watch the fireworks. He could feel the anticipation mounting as the seconds ticked away, but he felt curiously detached from the excitement that surrounded him.

Suddenly, a hand brushed against his arm. Seonghwa turned to see a young man standing beside him, with wide, curious eyes and a slight smile playing at the corners of his lips.

Hongjoong was his name, and he was a complete stranger to Seonghwa. Yet, as their eyes met, something ignited within Seonghwa. It was a feeling he had never experienced before, a strange mixture of confusion, desire, and curiosity.

For a moment, they stood there, their gaze locked, as the seconds ticked away. And then, with the stroke of midnight, fireworks burst overhead, painting the night sky with a dazzling display of light and color.

In that moment, something shifted between them. Hongjoong's smile deepened, and Seonghwa found himself drawn towards the young man as if pulled by a powerful magnet.

Before he knew it, their tongues were dancing in a heated embrace, and the fireworks above them exploded with renewed vigor.

The kiss seemed to last an eternity, but it was only a few seconds before they parted, both of them gasping for breath. For a moment, they simply stood there, catching their breath and processing what just happened. And then, as if on cue, the crowd around them erupted into applause and cheers.

They were surrounded by the noise and excitement of New Year's Eve, but Seonghana and Hongjoong were oblivious to it all. Somehow, their shared kiss had created a private world just for the two of them.

When they eventually drew apart again, the fireworks were already beginning to fade. But their eyes were still locked together, and Seonghana couldn't help but smile.

Hongjoong's gaze was warm and welcoming, and Seonghana felt something stir within him, a strange mix of both recognition and confusion.

As the crowds began to disperse, Hongjoong turned to Seonghana and offered his hand. "Care to take a walk with me?" he asked, his voice gentle.

Seonghana hesitated for a moment, but then he took Hongjoong's hand and allowed himself to be led away, away from the crowds and the noise and the fireworks. And as they walked, their fingers entwined, he knew that this night would be one that he would never forget.
