"What did you tell them?"
After she announced his awakening, they made her and A'shaun sit in the lobby so they could ask Semaj a couple questions which they all knew would damn near be a full interrogation to figure out what exactly happened and who was trying to end his life like this.
"Nothing. Jus' said he had a crazy ass ex girlfriend and maybe she knew. All they have to do is search his name and see tha' amount of times she had him locked up," he shrugged. The whole situation was iffy because he also had previous charges for carrying and was currently unable to but when someone managed to help him and he was in route to the hospital..they found his gun on him. "I can't really say what they gone' do about it since he had his strap on him and he not supposed to,"
Kiyomi never knew he wasn't supposed to be carrying because he definitely always had his piece on him. She also never really knew about his previous charges involving him and Celeste. Of course she heard what he was locked up and it was a domestic violence case, but to the tea and down to what happened and who put their hands on who..she was clueless.
"So outta' all this, he could still get in trouble?"
A'shaun shrugged, "I'm trynna' put two and two together in my head–" he let out a heavy sigh, "–Spook never got the chance to pull his shit out and fire back or else the gun woulda' been hot and they woulda found his casings," they knew for a fact there didn't give him the chance to shoot because he would've been on that. "He could easily say we're moving and he was transportin' it to tha' other location,"
"Ya'll might not wanna' deal with the police but I'll be the biggest snitch after this. Especially if it has anything to do with my kid Shaun," Kiyomi was letting it be known this was her warning. She didn't want to be apart of this.
"I'm sorry," A'shaun really did have empathy for her. He knew from the jump it was going to spiral once word got out Semaj was having a baby and Celeste was not the baby mother. "I understand if you wanna' run off and protect ya'll kid. I jus' knew once the bullshit started happening, we sat there thinking if ways to make everything easier for you and keep you out the mix,"
