Branch chuckled. He noticed his girlfriend, Poppy, standing from across the room, who kept looking at him. He was talking to his friends and she was talking to hers. He waved her over, and she shyly made her way to him.

"I didn't think you'd be able to make it." he said with a smile.

"I came for you. Nothing can ever stand between us. Not even a seven hour flight." she laughed.

"Thank you. You're incredible."

Just then, an unfamiliar female troll walked up and shoved herself in the middle of the couple.

"Um, excuse you?" Poppy asked, shocked.

"Branch, come on. We've got to get ready for the show," the female troll said.

"What? Now?!" Branch replied.

"Branch, you can't just leave me! I've been here all day and this is one of the only times we've interacted!" Poppy begged.

Branch looked at the female troll then at Poppy. Finally, he drew in a shaky breath and kissed Poppy's hand, and she knew what he was going to say by the dismal look in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Pops. I can't not go on."

Poppy jerked her hand away from Branch's grasp. Tears started welling in her eyes.

"I knew you'd leave me the first chance you got! Go on and be with her!" she exclaimed as she ran off. Everyone had been staring.

"I'm not with her! Poppy, come back!"

But she was already gone. He pummeled his fist against his cheekbone, distraught. The female troll had been listening, and she sat down beside Branch and placed a loving hand on his shoulder.

"I'm so sorry. I'll go find her."

"No, you don't have to. I should probably let her get her emotions out and I'll call her after the show."

She smiled at him and stood back up. "I'll see you out there, Bitty B."

He sighed deeply, standing himself back up. Then he reminded himself what he was here for. He was here to put on a show, not to clean up a giant mess. Now wasn't the time for nonsense. It was time for show business.

"Branch? Branch, you need to wake up." a voice called, distant at first but became closer and closer until his brain activated.

His eyes slowly opened and he expected to see Poppy, but the voice sounded nothing like hers.

He was surprised to see that Cherry was the one who woke him, sitting by the crackling fire that had been slowly running out of flames.

"Cherry? Why are you here? How did you find us? Where's my brothers?"

"A lot of questions this morning, huh, sleepyhead? They all went to the nearest town together fifty-ish minutes ago."

"They left me...?"

"Well, yeah, it's 3:00. You've been sleeping all day."

"Wow. I guess I didn't know how tired I was."

"Yep. Were you having a nightmare or something? Because you kept whimpering in your sleep like a puppy." Cherry asked, smirking.

He thought to himself and remembered the dream he had a couple moments ago. He preferred not to tell Cherry about it.

"Nope. No dreams."

"You expect me to believe that?" she snickered.

"Yes. Because I didn't have any dreams."
