The next morning came around so quickly and Tongrak woke up first, Mut woke up a few minutes after Tongrak.

Mut - Morning.

Tongrak - Morning.

Mahasamut and Tongrak got up and got ready and had breakfast together, Kamol and Kim weren't home as they left for the weekend to go to Kim's parents place.

Tongrak - Mut, can we talk about something?

Mut - Yeah sure, we can, what's up?

Tongrak - Um, I've been wondering, why do you keep sleeping in the bed with me, I mean I'm not opposed to it, I just thought you'd want to sleep alone.

Mut paused for a moment, contemplating Tongrak's question as he took a sip of his orange juice. The morning sun streamed through the window, casting a warm glow over the kitchen table.

Mut - You know, it just feels... comfortable, I guess. I mean, we've been friends for a while, and I like hanging out with you. Plus, it's nice to not wake up alone.

Tongrak raised an eyebrow, surprised by the openness of Mut's response.

Tongrak - Really? I didn't think you felt that way. I just assumed—well, you know, that maybe you'd prefer your own space.

Mut chuckled softly, leaning back in his chair.

Mut - I get that. But honestly, it's not just about sharing the bed. It's more about sharing the moment, you know? After a long day, it's nice to know there's someone there—someone who gets you.

Tongrak set down his fork, intrigued by Mut's candor.

Tongrak - That's actually really nice to hear. I guess I never thought about it like that. I just didn't want to make you uncomfortable or anything.

Mut smiled warmly, his eyes reflecting a hint of sincerity.

Mut - You never make me uncomfortable, Tongrak. In fact, it's the opposite. I feel more at ease around you. It's just... natural.

There was a brief silence as they both absorbed the weight of what was being said. Tongrak felt a surge of warmth at the realization that their friendship had grown so close.

Tongrak - I appreciate you saying that, Mut. It means a lot. Sometimes I think about how much time we spend together, and it really makes me grateful.

Mut nodded, a shy smile on his face.

Mut - Yeah, me too. So, should we keep it this way? I mean, if you're okay with it?

Tongrak smiled back, feeling a sense of relief wash over him.

Tongrak - Absolutely. I think I kind of like it, actually. Just friends sharing a bed—no pressure.

Mut laughed, the sound lightening the mood.

Mut - Exactly! Just a couple of buddies, right? Now, who's making coffee? I need my fix to get this day going!

Tongrak grinned and stood up, stretching his arms.

Tongrak - Alright, coffee it is! But only if you help me with the dishes after breakfast.

Mut raised his hands in mock defeat.

Mut - Deal! As long as you promise to make those pancakes again. I could live off of those.

Tongrak rolled his eyes playfully.

Tongrak - Fine, you've got yourself a deal. Pancakes and coffee: our unofficial weekend tradition.

As they continued their breakfast, the conversation light and easy, both Tongrak and Mut felt an unspoken understanding solidifying their bond, moving beyond friendship into something that felt warm, familiar, and promising.

Out of nowhere Tongrak asks Mut, "do you want to date me like be my boyfriend?"
