"Seems like you are really broken, aren't you".........

But Swastik's response was silence, he seems not to realise someone's presence there.

She looked at his face and met a sight of haunting beauty, a face that seemed to hold thousands of unshed tears, his eyes telling the tales of deep sorrow and loneliness and he seemed to lost in his own thoughts.

" I know that look, It's like you are drowning in your own thoughts", she said gently, eyes filled with empathy.

"It's been 2 years, but sometimes I feel like I am still stuck in the past", Swastik finally responded, his voice barely audible, filled with grief.

The girl seems to understand the situation. " Who was she? "She asked softly.

Swastik's lips trembled as he whispered, " Navya...... My everything".

"Losing someone you love feels like losing a part of yourself", she said. " If you don't mind can I ask what actually happened "

Swastik felt a glimmer of connection, a sense of being understood.

"I loved her, more than anything but she betrayed, she left me drowning in the darkness " As he said, his eyes welled up with tears.

The girl's expression softened, her eyes brimming with compassion. "I'm so sorry," she whispered, her voice a gentle breeze. "Betrayal cuts deep, and it's hard to escape from the memories it leaves behind."

Swastik's tears flowed freely now. The girl's hand reached out, hesitated for a moment, and then gently brushed a tear from his cheek. The touch made him feel comfortable and better.

"I thought we had something real, something beautiful, something forever," Swastik whispered, his voice cracking. "But forever came and went, leaving me with just memories."

The girl nodded, her eyes never leaving his face. "Memories can be both a blessing and a curse," she said softly. "They remind us of what we've lost, but they also keep the love alive."

As he lifted his gaze, his eyes met hers and he struck on the kindness shining in her eyes. Her face was gentle, with soft features, her eyes deep brown sparkled with warmth.

Clouded by the sorrow, he found himself uttering the words that had been weighing heavily on his heart, a heartfelt cry, "How do I move on?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper and eyes looking at hers searching for the answer.

The girl smiled gently. "You don't have to forget, but you can learn to heal. You can learn to live with the memories, and find a way to cherish them without letting them consume you."

Swastik felt a glimmer of hope, a sense of possibility. Maybe, just maybe, he could find a way to heal, to learn to live again.

Just as the girl was about to say something , the sound of her watch ticking reminded her of someone that would surely be waiting for her at home and whose temper would flare up if she didn't return soon.

She swiftly collected her belongings and stood up. Her eyes went on Swastik.

"I am running out of time, but let me remind you that, don't let someone else's mistake define your future, release the hurt and make room for healing. You cannot change the past but you can choose how it shapes your tomorrow, let go of the betarayal and hold onto your own worth. Just remember that you deserve to be happy but holding onto your past won't bring that. Take the lessons but leave the pain behind. "

"Bye, take care.... " She called out, her voice fading as she quickly disappeared into the distance, her footsteps echoing behind her.

Swastik looked up at her disappearing figure, his eyes fixed at on the spot where she vanished. Her words echoing in his thoughts, demanding introspection.

At the stranger girl's flat:

She slipped into the room with a soft whisper of door, hoping to go unnoticed, but was immediately greeted with a booming voice.

"You are late again, Miss Yashvi Mittal. " A loud, firm voice filled the space, making her flinch.
