" do you know who was the aggressor?" , said one of them breaking the silence.

The two police officers exchanged glances and Burst out laughing.

She furrowed her brow and sneered at them.

"Ex girlfriend", the short one echoed- his expression shifted from
playfulness to professionalism. What happened between you and her ?, he asked, softening his voice, and gave her a captivating gaze to show interest.

She looked away from him, not wishing her eyes to give away her true feelings, and took a few seconds to answer. " I told her we are no longer in a relationship, and she keeps spying on me", her voice trembling - and her face blended with sadness and regret, tears welling up in her eyes.

The big Police officer looked at her with pity and said, "Do you think she will come back?"

" I don't know", her voice barely above a whisper.

The short one said, do you want to file a complaint, ma'am?

" No, that won't be necessary, thank you", her tone was calm and filled with sadness. She added, she was my ex girlfriend, I can't do that to her, her voice was crisp.
