For the next week, Zayn watches over Louis while Harry works. Over time, it's discovered that even though Louis really loves cartoons, he can't watch them all day. It's ok though, Zayn has been doing different things with him over the week. On Tuesday, he showed Louis how to write his own name. Louis liked that Zayn was a nicer teacher than the ones at the adoption center. He was able to write his name five times, and he was very proud.

On Wednesday, Zayn taught him the basics of drawing as in stick figures. Louis was in awe as he watched Zayn draw figure after figure, creating a small story with them. Louis drew a few figures, before he seized another piece of paper in which he made two bigger stick figures. One was slightly bigger than the other. When Zayn asked, what he was drawing, Louis told him he was drawing Harry and Louis. Zayn smiled, this kid. Louis proudly presented the drawing to Harry when he got home later that day.

On Thursday, Zayn came with a box in his arms. When Louis questioned him about it he simply said it was a game. Once Louis was bored of his morning cartoons, Zayn pulled out the box again. He pulled on the lid to reveal several blocks. He explained to Louis that it was a game called Jenga. He set it up and demonstrated how to play, pulling a block out without the structure falling. When it was Louis' turn he pulled to fast and they all fell. Louis frowned. They played a few quick rounds until Louis was finally getting the hang it of it, beating Zayn in the end.

It was currently Friday and Louis was anxiously awaiting Zayn's return from the bathroom. When Zayn had arrived, he held another bx. Louis asked if it was another game, but Zayn shook his head. He said it was something else. Before he went off to the bathroom, he had pulled out the tubs and placed them on the coffee table. Louis was studying the tubs that sat on the coffee table. He couldn't read so he had no idea what the tub was. He was really excited to find out though. Zayn finally sauntered back into the lounge.

"Alright, are you ready to see what we're doing today Lou." Zayn had grown accustomed to calling Louis, Lou, it was just easier. It also made Louis feel like him and Zayn were becoming friends. Louis grins, shouting 'yes', and sitting on the floor in front of the table. Zayn copies his action, sitting criss cross on the ground. He opens the tub and tilts it toward Louis. Louis peeks over the brim to see something colorful. "It's called Play-Doh." He explains, pulling out the clayish mound. He sets it on the table and does the same with the other tubs. Once there all out, he takes the black one and snags a piece off of it. He rolls and forms a small sphere. Louis gasps, fascination written on his face. He thinks it's like magic the way Zayn could change the shape.

"You can do it too." He says handing over the black dough. Louis takes it and does what Zayn did. In seconds, he holds a sphere of his own. He studies it carefully, shocked by the fact that he has the ability to do something like this. Sure it isn't exactly rocket science, but Louis had always had a hard time learning. He was happy he was doing something right.

"Wow." He whispers honestly so entranced. Zayn shows him other shapes, teaching him the names as well. They make a bit of a game out of it. Zayn will tell him a shape and Louis will make it. Whenever Louis makes the right shape, Zayn makes sure to tell him and Louis always smiles at the praise. They're still playing it when Harry gets home.

"Hey guys, what's going on here?' Harry asks, putting his briefcase by the sofa, knowing he'll move it to his room later.

"Louis is learning shapes." Louis says. Louis has also been learning to speak properly. He hasn't quite gotten the hang of it, but he's doing better. Either way, Harry still adores the kitten boy.

"Oh yeah, how's that going." He directs that comment to Zayn. Zayn is still watching as Louis makes yet another sphere. Louis has been doing great. He's still amazed by the fact that Louis had no idea what any of this stiff was an hour ago.

"Great actually." Zayn turns to Louis. "Show him what you've learned." Louis quickly picks up the pink glob, taking a piece and setting the rest where it once stood. He squishes and pinches, hovering over his work. When he looks back up, Harry can see he made a heart.

"Heart." He exclaims, bringing the shaped dough up so Harry can examine it. Harry takes it in his hands, admiring Louis' new skill. He smiles and hands it back.

"Yep it is a heart." Louis beams, knowing he did it right. Louis continues making more shapes as Zayn announces his departure. Louis gives him a wave goodbye, and Harry walks him out.

"Thanks Zayn, you've been a great help this past week." Harry praises. He really is thankful to have such a great best friend.

"You're welcome. Honestly Louis is awesome. I think he's a keeper." Zayn jokes. Harry beams and gives him a final goodbye and he's out the door. Harry can't help but agree. Louis is definitely a keeper.
