At the table sat all 6 of us, each with a mug of sweet hot cocoa and a plate of soft apple pie. "Let's go around the circle with introductions. I'll start. My name is Arisu from class 4A." Next was Rei from class 4B, followed by the swan-like Rita, class 4C. Hana with the glasses was also apart of class 4C, and Kentaro was from class 4B like Rei. Finally, it was my turn. "Hi, I'm Mina, also from class 4A. It's nice to meet you all, and I hope you like the pie." As soon as the words left my lips I felt my face burn up. I wanted to make a good impression.
"Oh my heavens!" Rei sang with a mouthful. "This is the best pie I've ever had!" One by one the others took a forkful, eyes lighting up as they chewed. "The warm apple just melts on your tongue and coats it with sweet, cinnamon." Hana said with a sigh, slouching comfortably in her chair as if it brought her a sense of relaxation.
"I agree. The hints of nutmeg and cider gives it such a comforting feel, and the crust is so light, buttery and flaky." Described Kentaro. My face flushed, and I looked nervously at my hands resting in my lap. "Thank you so much." I muttered. "I see why you're team leader!" Said Arisu. I looked up to see him gleaming at me, and my heart skipped a beat. He really was handsome.

Over the next hour we ate and assigned roles and recipes for the bake sale. The group insisted I make mini apple pies. Rita said she'd do cinnamon rolls, Kentaro settled on chocolate chip pumpkin muffins. Rei said she'd do a pecan pie cheesecake, and she excitedly clapped her hands at the idea. "Cheesecake is my specialty!" She happily announced. "I might eat it all before you get a chance to sell it!" Said Kentaro. "How about I make one for our next meeting then?" She asked. We all agreed in unison. Her cheesecake sounded absolutely delicious.
Hana said she'd make salted caramel sugar cookies, and Arisu said he'd make a pumpkin peach cobbler. "It's one of my moms fall favourites." He said. A look of nostalgia, and slight sadness washed over his face. The others may not have noticed because he smiled immediately after, but I couldn't help but wonder what he had thought about.
As for our setup, Rei and Kentaro took on the role of decorating our signs, and menus for our bake sale stand. Hana and Rita would get all the necessary supplies such as table cloths, utensils, and packaging. Arisu and I would individually package each item and label them using the materials Hana and Rita got. Everything was coming together.

It was Friday morning, the day of the bake sale. Just a week after we had planned everything out. Yesterday we had went over everything one final time. Rei's cheesecake was as good as I'd imagined. The pecans were crunchy and sticky, the cheesecake disintegrated on your tongue, and the thin, honey graham cracker base really tied it all together. We all agreed that would be the most perfect dish at the market.
Our sign had orange and red leaves, pumpkins, and little pies painted on. It read;
Tokyo High's Fall Bake Sale!
Support the students and grab a sweet treat!The menus were neatly printed too, in silky cursive.
Our Menu!
Cinnamon Apple Pie
Butter Pecan Cheesecake
Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins
Salted Caramel Sugar Cookies
Cinnamon Rolls
Peach Pumpkin Cobbler
Taste the mouthwatering flavours of what Fall has to offer!The stand at the market looked really nice. The white tablecloth was littered with orange pumpkins and leaves. A pile of orange napkins sat in the corner of the table, beside matching forks and knives. The food warmers were lined behind us with countless little snacks inside of them.
Arisu and I stood by the cash, Rei and Kentaro gathered mini menus to hand out around the market, and Hana and Rita stood preparing to hand out treats. The market was a minute away from opening, and the sounds of people eagerly setting up and waiting filled the grounds. "We've all got this!" Arisu said encouragingly. We put our hands together and brought them up into the air, as the gate opened and people flooded in.
