— KISS ME

MADISYN

I verbally groan as I look up at a popcorn ceiling. I hear the clinking of metal on glass and sit up to see where the noises came from.

I can barely see as my eyelids aren't fully open yet, but I do recognize the brown man bun sticking out from the figure. He notices I'm awake and immediately smiles.

"Good morning, Blu!" Brandon says happily. I groan again and flop back down on the awfully comfortable couch.

"It's too early for happiness. How are you not not hungover?" I rub my eyes with my curled-up hands.

"I forgot you're grumpy in the mornings. Hurry go back to bed before you start scolding me for taking too long to make coffee!" He says, avoiding my question and I start to giggle.

"I can never go back to sleep, it never works," I say groggily.

"Will white noise help?"

"Stop it." I slowly sit on the edge of the couch.

"Too late." He comments as I stand up and stretch my arms. I walk over to where he's standing and see him mixing his coffee.

"You don't mind making me a coffee, would you?" I put on my most innocent smile.

"Fine. Only because I don't want your grumpy shenanigans." Brandon says. Alec then walks out looking just as tired as I am.

"Hey, Ally." I welcome Alec.

"Ally? What's with you and calling boys girl's names?" Alec sits down at a barstool by the counter.

"Yeah! First, it's Brandy and then it's Ally!" Brandon exclaims, joining the conversation.

"Let's not get defensive about 'feminine' nicknames, tough guy." I pat his shoulder and watch how he makes my latte that he should know how to make by now. Hopefully.

"I'm going to get changed and take off my makeup." I leave the kitchen and step into a random room that I hope is correct. Thankfully, I see a plain white bed with a black suitcase beside it.

I open my suitcase and take out a dark grey sweatsuit. I make my way to the bathroom with my toiletry bag and begin to take off my smudged makeup from last night. I wasn't drunk I just didn't bother to take it off.

I walk out to see my coffee on the counter and Brandon with Alec on the couch. I grab my coffee on the way to sit on the empty spot beside Brandon.

"Watcha talking about?" I squeeze into the conversation while sipping my coffee.

"Going bowling tonight with some teammates. No drinking though, game tomorrow." Brandon answered. "Speaking of which, are you coming to the game?" He asks.

"Maybe." I shrug and pay attention to the screen which has a Yankees at Padre's game on.
