The Jeon family's enemies had never been more cunning. They lurked in the shadows, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. Min Jeon, head of the Jeon family and leader of one of the most powerful mafia organizations, had always been vigilant, always one step ahead of his enemies. But this time, things were different.
The betrayal had come from within. A trusted member of their inner circle had been feeding information to their enemies, weakening the Jeon's stronghold from the inside. When Min first discovered the betrayal, it felt like a punch to the gut. How could someone he trusted so deeply turn against him?
"Namgil..." Min had muttered the traitor's name under his breath as he stared at the evidence laid out before him. The realization was like ice spreading through his veins. His jaw clenched tightly, his fists balled at his sides. "How could he..."
Namgil had been with the Jeon family for years, a loyal associate—or so they thought. It was he who had fed information to their rivals, making the Jeons vulnerable to attacks, putting his entire family at risk. It was his betrayal that had led to the recent attacks that forced Min and Irene to go into hiding, away from their son, Jungkook.
Min wasted no time. He called in his most trusted men, those who had been with him for decades, who had proven their loyalty time and again. Together, they devised a plan to root out the traitor and eliminate the threat once and for all.
The operation was swift. They stormed Namgil's hideout in the dead of night, catching him off guard. Min personally dragged the man to his knees, his face contorted with fury.
"You betrayed me," Min hissed, his voice low and menacing. "You betrayed our family."
Namgil, his face pale and eyes wide with fear, stammered out a pitiful defense. "Please, Mr. Jeon, I... I was forced! They threatened my family, my children!"
But Min was unmoved. He knew the cost of betrayal, the blood that had been spilled because of this man's actions. His eyes were cold as he gave the order.
"End it," he said, turning away, unable to stomach the sight of the man who had nearly destroyed everything he held dear.
The deed was done, and Min believed that they had finally rid themselves of the threat. They had rooted out the mole and eliminated their enemies—or so he thought.
However, unbeknownst to Min, the threat wasn't over. There were still enemies lurking in the shadows, plotting their next move. They were biding their time, waiting for the right moment to strike again.
Back at the Kim mansion, Jungkook eagerly awaited the return of his parents. It had been weeks since he'd last seen them, and though he loved spending time with his Aunt Suzy, Uncle Jungsoek, and baby Taehyung, he missed his parents dearly.
One afternoon, as he was playing with Taehyung, he saw a car pull up in front of the mansion. His heart leaped in his chest as he recognized it. "Mommy! Daddy!" he shouted, jumping up from his spot on the floor and racing towards the door.
Irene stepped out of the car first, her face lighting up as she saw her son running towards her. Tears welled up in her eyes as she scooped him up in her arms, holding him tightly against her chest.
