Boog💙: meet outside for lunch?

I liked Lauren's message before shutting off my phone and continuing my notes. Why she wanted to meet outside was beyond my knowledge but I wasn't complaining. My mind was drained from all this general paper stuff.

I was happy though, I had a free lunch period today so whatever Lo had planned it would be the only thing we'd be doing. Hopefully it's a mini lunch date that she's paying for.

Free food is free food at the end of the day.

When the bell rang I quickly packed away my supplies before grabbing my bag and heading out. I greeted a few classmates and my adopted freshmen on my way toward the double doors that led to student parking. Once I spot Lauren's car I roll my eyes and make my way over.

One of the boys from the football team was all in her face. As I got closer I realized it was the one she cut off for being a walking red flag.

"–just wanted to make sure you was alright. You know I like you, it's just crazy right now–"

"Baby," I called out. Lauren glanced over at me in relief, smiling happily. She pushed the boy back and pulled me into her, wrapped her arms around my waist. "I missed you." I continued, stopping myself from laughing as the boy stood there stuck. Less confused and more mesmerized.

Nasty.

"I missed you more, have you met Adrian?" She looked up at him and I did the same. "Number 23?" I asked, playing clueless and he nods, licking his lips.

"Mhmm."

"He bothering you? You know I don't play that–" Adrian was quick to cut me off which was extremely rude.

"My bad, I ain't know y'all was together."

"Well, now you know hun. Move along." I shooed him away and he did as he was told, glancing back every few seconds. I smirked, might as well give him a show, right?

Wrapping my arms around her neck, I pulled Lauren closer and placed my lips on hers. When I was sure 23 had gone I pulled away and got in the car before Lo could say anything. She got in on the driver's side and started up the car, looking at me like I was crazy. "You didn't even have to do all that."

I shrugged, "that whole play is literally called 'jealous girlfriend'. If you wanted me to punch him in the face or something you should've said that, babe." I winked at her. Lauren laughed at me before pulling out of the spot and driving.

"Where you get money from, Lo? Taking me out to eat and what not. Thanks boo."

I tried to kiss her cheek but she leaned away. "Oh no sis, you're paying. You know if it's one thing I'm gonna be, it's broke."

I groaned. I was really looking forward to not having to pay for anything. "Lauren... fine, but you really owe me this time. I was really hoping to get some princess treatment today."

"I know who can give you some princess treatment..."

Lauren and I glanced at each other and I glared, "don't start, Nicole."

"I'm just saying!" She pulls into the Panda Express causing me to sigh. This expensive ass shit.

"I'm in love with one person and one person only. My best friend, Ms. Lauren London. Everyone else can kick rocks."

"And what about Beyoncé?" She questioned, moving up in the line. I slowly slid down in the seat. There was no need to say her name, there was nothing going on there. Sure, the girl is attractive in every possible way but I just– I don't know.
