"What are you doing?"

"Getting ready."

"Why?"

"For work, hospital. Remember?"

His lips formed an o as he realised he was gonna be alone all day.

"At what time will you return?"

"Umm my shift will end at 7 today but in case of emergency it might shift."

"Can't you take a leave?"

"Unfortunately no Shub, kal hi toh leave li thi Virat Bhai ke ghar jaane."

"Hmm I will miss you."

He spoke as he encircled his arms around her waist back hugging her and she smiled.

"I will miss you too."

"Hmm."

"Shub."

"Hmm."

"I wanted to say something."

"Hmm bolo na."

"I..I was thinking of quitting the job."

"Kyu??"

He asked as it came like a shock to him, she is so passionate about her job then why leave it suddenly?

"Umm since my internship ended last month I wanna try for Ss now."

"Hein what's that?"

"Aree matlab after post graduation you go for super speciality where I will focus on DM cardiology."

"I really don't understand all this but it seems like you wanna study further nai?"

"Yes right, you are smart."

She ruffled his hair and he laughed.

"Then do na baby, who I am to stop you. You have worked hard to be where you are and after this too you will have to work hard. All I can do is assure you that I will be here with you in all your life steps."

She hugged him keeping her head on his chest and he smiled.

"But this comes with responsibility Shubman."

"What baby?"

"Umm I will have to stay home for one year to prepare for the exam and then if I clear the exam we have to give three years to the collage and..and.."

She trailed, loss of words fidgeting with her fingers and he broke the hug holding her shoulders.

"And what?"

"Umm if we decided to have a child like.. I won't be ready then. Almost four years I cannot give you a child."

She spoke looking down and he sighed smiling, he thought she was gonna ask him to leave her alone. Chuckling at his crazy thoughts he again pulled her closer.

"I don't mind not having a child for the next four years. Let's just focus on each other, be with each other and support each other. I am glad you decided to share all this."

"But I will turn 29 by then, I have PCOS, what if we have complications later?"

"We will consult a doctor today, you can ask her all the doubts. Mujhe toh abhi pata chala age ke saath complications bhi hote hai."

She chuckled and snuggled her face in his chest as he tightened his hold on her.

"You are so good to be true."

He kissed her nose on her compliment and broke the hug.

"I know."

"So I will go and resign today, will you come? I will give the resignation letter and then we can meet my friend who is the gynaecologist at the same hospital. We can ask her."
