The morning light filtered softly through the tall, narrow windows of the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, casting beams across the polished wooden floors. The room, imbued with centuries of magic and wisdom, felt alive with history. The faint scent of aged parchment and the tang of ozone from spells cast in lessons long past lingered in the air. Dust motes danced lazily in the streams of sunlight, their slow, swirling movements giving the room a tranquil, almost enchanted atmosphere. Standing at his desk, Harry rearranged his notes for the day's lesson, feeling the familiar sense of anticipation that came before every class.

Today's lesson was one of the most personal Harry had ever planned. He would be teaching the students the Patronus Charm, a spell deeply tied to the caster's innermost strength and memories. It was, in many ways, a reflection of who they were. The significance of the Patronus Charm had always resonated deeply with Harry, not just because of its power to repel Dementors but because of the personal meaning it held for him. He still remembered the first time he'd conjured his stag Patronus, the flood of emotion that had accompanied it, and how it had been a turning point in his life. He was eager to share that same feeling with his students.

Glancing at the clock on the wall, Harry noted he had a few minutes before the students arrived. An idea had been forming in his mind, one that could make the lesson even more impactful for the students. He wanted them to see something extraordinary, something more than just his own Patronus. After a moment of deliberation, he made a decision and left the classroom in a hurry, heading toward the staff room.

The corridors of Hogwarts bustled with activity, students hurrying to their classes, their excited chatter echoing against the stone walls. The castle felt like a living, breathing entity, and on days like these, Harry felt its pulse in every stone and every corner. His own footsteps were light as he walked, his mind focused on his plan. The idea of involving someone else in his lesson felt right, it would show the students that magic varied from person to person.

As he reached the door to the staff room, Harry paused, taking a breath to steady himself. He pushed the door open and stepped inside. The staff room was, as always, a comfortable haven. A fire crackled merrily in the hearth, its warmth filling the space. Professor Flitwick sat at a table near the window, engrossed in a thick tome, while Professor Sprout sipped her tea as she gazed out at the Hogwarts grounds, her expression peaceful.

And then, seated by the fire, was Malfoy. He was hunched over a stack of student essays, his face focused and intent as he marked them. Harry hesitated for a brief moment, but he pushed the uneasiness aside and approached Draco's chair.

"Malfoy," Harry said, trying to keep his tone casual but respectful. "Do you have a minute?"

Draco looked up from his essays, his grey eyes meeting Harry's with a guarded expression. "Potter," he replied, setting the essays aside with a measured grace. "What can I do for you?"

For a moment, a flicker of nerves stirred in Harry's chest. "I've got a lesson today on the Patronus Charm," he said, a little hesitantly. "And I thought it might mean more if the students could see more than one Patronus. I was hoping you might be willing to help."

Draco's expression flickered, a trace of surprise crossing his face. He leaned back in his chair, studying Harry as if trying to read between the lines. "You want me to demonstrate my Patronus?" he asked. "In front of the students?"

Harry nodded. "Yeah. I think it would resonate with them to see two professors working together. And," he added with a slight grin, "I've heard your Patronus is quite impressive. Plus, I'd owe you one."

For a long moment, Draco didn't respond. His eyes flickered toward the fire, the light playing across his sharp features as he considered the request. The room seemed to still, the soft crackle of the fire the only sound between them. Harry could sense the internal conflict Draco was grappling with. Casting a Patronus was quite personal and intimate. And Draco, as Harry well knew, had always been fiercely guarded.
