"Do you, Jungkook take Yoongi as your beloved husband?"

"Yes, I do"

"Do you Yoongi take Jungkook as your beloved husband?"

"Yes"

"Then from now you are husband and husband"

Sometime Later

After the wedding day party, Yoongi went to his room, leaving Jungkook behind. Their behaviour was unusual for a newly married couple, but their friends, who had joined them for a drink, grasped some of it, yet they couldn't quite make sense of the entire situation.

Jungkook sighed keeping his glass on the table. His head hung lower. He knew the looks and judgements others were throwing at him. He wanted to speak up for himself. He wanted to justify his self. He wanted to accept he did wrong but say it was what good for...him. He wanted to shout out the pressure on his head, mind and soul and get rid of it. But he couldn't. He understood they wouldn't comprehend his struggle. He realized no one would listen. He anticipated that everyone would hold him accountable. Even if they had been his companions through thick and thin, they would never truly understand. He yearned to weep, but he refused to let his tears show before the very source of his misery—his father, who was likely revelling in his son's sorrow. He longed to flee, to find solace and release his anguish in solitude. Yet, he was trapped, encircled by the weight of responsibilities and expectations.

The table was silent. Everyone watched as Jungkook got up his seat and he turned to head away to his room. As he was about to someone held his wrist.

"Kookie, just know that we are here for you" Jimin said.

Jungkook finally made an eye contact with Jimin. He was thankful that Jimin always knew what to tell, to comfort others. Jungkook just gave a simple nod and walked away. The usually cheerful group of men found themselves enveloped in sorrow.

....

Jungkook was lying next to Yoongi on the bed. They didn't fight on who would sleep on the couch and who would sleep on the bed because being best friends for a long time they have shared a bed enough time. Yoongi seemed fast asleep, but Jungkook knew he wasn't, so he spoke up.

"Hyung, could you please let me explain everything?"

He already knew the answer but this time he decided to speak even if Yoongi didn't want to hear him.

"Hyung. My –"

"I thought I made myself clear Kook. I don't need a damn explanation from you! So, sleep already!!"

Jungkook would be lying if he wasn't shaken by the sudden burst out of the older, but he reached his limit of patience too, so he stayed in silence fuming in anger with everyone and everything in his life. Yoongi felt Jungkook turning to the other side. Many would have thought it wouldn't be a big deal to be married to a best friend, but it wasn't a bit good when Yoongi already had a lover. Yoongi always had a special spot for Jungkook, but this was beyond his limit and Yoongi was trying to figure out everything in the mess. Right now, an explanation by Jungkook was the least he could expect. He would eventually give Jungkook a chance but now all Yoongi wanted was peace.
