Billie POV
I paced back and forth neurotically as the thought of her possibly saying no weighed in my head.
Maybe it's too soon but I wanna ask her to marry me. We've known each other for 8 years almost. She's gonna say yes right?
I invited all of our friends and family out to a dinner—it's a proposal party and Nasir's the only one that knows I'm going to propose. Everyone else just thinks it's for Valentine's Day.
"This steak is fire." Chanel said as she took another bite of the tender meat
"It really is, they use them expensive cows." I told her
"Thanks for taking me out by the way." She smiled as she looked up at me
"You're welcome. Your outfit looks beautiful just like you." I said before pecking her lips
Chanel scooted closer to me as the night went on, my heart was pounding as I knew time was ticking.
I gotta ask her now
"Ooh, you dropped something." I pointed to the ground
She turned around and then that's when I got on one knee. Nasir was recording with a smile on his face—silently cheering me on
Chanel turned around and gasped
"Chanel Banks, I've known you since May of 2016–May 1st, 2016 to be exact. I know we're young and I know we've had our ups and downs—but, I was wondering if you'd make the happiest woman in the world by taking my hand in marriage. I promise to never make you cry, never knock over your food and I will always be there for you. We may not have it together but together we can have it all." I ranted
Deep down I wanted to shit myself...I'm so scared because what if she says no-
"Yes, I will." She said excitedly
Everyone cheered along with the customers in the restaurant
"You'll marry me?" I stood up
"Yes Billie." She nodded
"Oh my god!" I cheered
"Awww." Everyone said
"I'm gonna have a wife!" I yelled before pulling her into a kiss
"I told you she'd say yes." Nasir nudged my shoulder
"Thank you, Chanel." I said as I pulled away
"Ooh shit." She held onto the wall
"What?" I asked
"My water just broke." She said
"Huh?" I rumpled my face up in confusion
"Billie my water just broke!" She repeated louder
"Uhm...okay. Uh—I don't know what to do." I scratched the back of my head
"Ah shit!" She crouched down
"I'm a doctor I can help!" an Indian lady came over
