Background:
Drake was born in the Alola region to his parent Matilda and Aiden Valor. Due to his mother work for the Aether Foundation, Drake would often spend a lot of time there with the Pokémon that the foundation looks after or hanging out with Lillie and Gladion. One day Drake heard a crying for help while he was playing with Lillie, when he went to see who it was he discovered it was an alolan vulpix. Surprisingly the vulpix was speak English/Japanese (AN: I have only watched Pokémon in English but felt the need to include Japanese) allowing him to understand to understand her. This was when Drake unlocked his aura and later discover this was due to his ancestry.
After an incident at the Aether Foundation, Drake and his parent moved to Pallet town in Kanto. While growing up in pallet town Drake would befriend his neighbour daughter named Ashley Ketchum. The two would promise to go on an adventure together to become Pokémon masters. During one summer Drake and Ashley would attend Oak's summer camp where they would met a girl called Serena who they would befriend over the summer before she went away. When Drake turned 11 and Ashley turned 10 they would set out on their journey.
