I don't know what was worse, either being stuck in my apartment because of a storm happening outside, or having to scroll through all of the dms of different modeling agencies offering to only give me a photoshoot if I'm half naked in every picture. It was one of the downsides of being a model, but I only modeled for the sake of my little sister. I was the only family she had left, so I had to make the most of it.
If it were up to me, I would much rather have been an entrepreneur. But it wouldn't have been possible either way due to the lack of money and experience, so the only option left was modeling since many people around me have recommended it, even though they've only seen me for my pretty face and nothing else.
The longer I scrolled through my dms, the more my hopes went down. I was only booked for two photoshoots, and they were 2 days apart. Two photoshoots are definitely not gonna be enough to pay for the rent.
After a while of only scrolling and no finding, I sighed and returned to my homepage, where I saw several posts of a guy.

Usually I don't find many men good-looking, but this man was attractive.
Dark and well groomed hair, hazel eyes, low-set eyebrows, tan skin, a sharp jawline, a nose that compliments his face perfectly and a well-shaved beard that spread to his hair on the sides.
He was probably sculpted by Greek gods or something, considering the perfect face structure he had.
My eyes wandered down to the little text written beneath the picture.
Single man, Lorenzo Diáz has officially reached a net worth of 3.5 billion dollars thanks to his successful company "Loredi", where he has created a successful website called "Loredi Media" which secures all necessary information and resources. In addition, he also owns the app "Loredi" which is known for its amazing ability to GPS any location and place.
Lorenzo also owns many buildings in the city, making his income increase by the second every day. This is incredible, considering he only started out as a model for photo shoots and built his career from there.
Damn, this man was not only good-looking, but intelligent and rich. He really did have it all.
Considering the fact that he had started out as a model like me, there might be a chance that I could end up like him. After all, it wouldn't hurt to have 3.5 billion dollars to help my little sister and I out. For some reason, I was suddenly feeling hungry, so I forced myself to stand up and walk over to the fridge.
Yet when I opened it, I groaned in annoyance as soon as I realized that I had ran out of everything edible. Fruits, vegetables, my lasagna from yesterday, it was all already gone. There was no other option other than starving until the storm ends, which god knows when it will, or either walking to the supermarket in a rainy storm outside.
Definitely the second option.

I grabbed my French coat, my black boots and my umbrella that always came in handy whenever I needed it. Before I left the apartment building, I had made sure that the doors were locked, so no one could break in. As soon as I was in the lobby, I was already second-guessing my decision. Was it really worth it to go out in the rainy storm for a few groceries that would already be gone anyway by the end of the day? Maybe, maybe not. Whatever restraints I had didn't work, because I had gone to the supermarket anyway.
After seven minutes of intense walking and getting extremely wet because of the pouring rain, I had finally made it to the store.

Inside, I headed over to the fruits and vegetables, which were all surprisingly neat. They were organized and spread out inside the boxes, making it easy for anyone to grab it and just put it in their cart or basket.
I grabbed a bunch of bananas and placed them in my cart.
A few more items from the fruits and veggies section were added to my cart before I headed over to the sweet aisle.
There were many things that could help keep me satisfied in a dreading weather condition, and sweetness was one of the top things to keep me happy.
I looked at the chocolate section and picked out my favorite chocolate, milka's caramel chocolate bar. Caramel was my go-to favorite sweet thing in the entire world of sweet things. Chocolate was too disgusting? Caramel. Milkshake was too bitter? Caramel. Apples are too fruity? Caramel.
It would forever be my favorite thing.
