The next day, Omkara arrived at the office, his mind already preoccupied with thoughts of home. As he stepped into his cabin, Mahir, was already there, waiting for him with the day's schedule.

Mahir: Good morning, Sir! Here's your schedule for today.

Omkara took the tablet from Mahir and glanced at it. The day was packed with meetings and project reviews, just like every other day. But something else was on Omkara's mind today.

Omkara: Good morning, Mahir. By the way, I need you to clear my schedule for the next two weeks.

Mahir looked up from his own notes, a bit surprised.

Mahir: Two weeks? Is something urgent, Sir? Sab theek hai na?

(Two weeks? Is something urgent, Sir? Is everything alright?)

Omkara nodded, a small smile playing on his lips.

Omkara: Haan, sab theek hai. Actually, Mom ne bola hai ki ghar aa jao. Unhone bohot insist kiya, so I thought it's better to take some time off and spend it with Bhahut din hogaya hai Ghar Jake

(Yes, everything is fine. Actually, Mom asked me to come home. She insisted a lot, so I thought it’s better to take some time off and spend it there. It’s been a long time since I went home.)

Mahir raised an eyebrow, half-smiling.

Mahir: Pragya aunty ko kon mana kar sakta hai? But two weeks, that's a long time. You sure?

(Who can say no to Pragya Aunty? But two weeks is quite a long time. Are you sure?)

Omkara chuckled, shaking his head.

Omkara: I know, but it's been a while since we all got together. Plus, I can work from home. Sab kuch manage ho jayega.

(I know, but it's been a while since we all got together. Plus, I can work from home. Everything will work out.)

Mahir nodded in agreement, understanding that it's true that they haven't visited home recently!!

Mahir: Teek hai, Sir. I'll clear your schedule and reschedule the important meetings. Don't worry, main sab handle kar lunga. But what about the ongoing projects? Kuch bhi urgent ho toh...

(Okay, Sir. I'll clear your schedule and reschedule the important meetings. Don't worry, I'll handle everything. But what about the ongoing projects? If anything urgent comes up, let me know.)

Omkara interrupted him, knowing where the conversation was heading.

Omkara: Mahir, I trust you to handle things while I'm not here. We'll shift everything that needs my attention to video conferences. Plus, I want you to come with me.

Mahir looked at Omkara in surprise, though the request wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mahir: Main? Are you sure? I mean, mujhe toh yahan projects ko dekhna hai...

(Are you sure? I mean, I need to oversee the projects here...)

Omkara cut him off again, this time more firmly.
