Lexie's POV
As the day wore on, I couldn't help but feel the anxiety building within me. Despite trying to immerse myself in work, thoughts of my interactions with Mark and Johnny kept intruding, making it hard to concentrate. The upcoming meeting with Johnny at the company seemed unreal, and the memories from the night before—though vague—continued to surface, leaving me feeling increasingly self-conscious.
After completing the final preparations for the turnover at the Lee's house next door, I decided to take a break in the other house. I needed some time to clear my head as I prepared the package for my parents. Sitting by the window, I stirred my coffee absentmindedly, trying to sort through the jumble of thoughts in my mind. That's when a notification popped up on my phone.
I stared at the screen, momentarily taken aback by the notification. The group chat started buzzing with new messages as the members welcomed me.
