Tw: kinda short chapter

———————————

It was in fact, not luck.
She did not do anymore dunks because it required her to use cursed energy but she did multiple three pointers that had some students screaming.

Akashi was unstoppable when the ball was in his hands too, he knew when to pass to her and Aomine. He scored a few buckets and even did a three pointer. With him, the trio managed to create great teamwork.

"Coach?" Nijimura looked at the man, wanting to know his thoughts.

"She's...good." Coach Sanada watched as Sayuri did an euro-step to get away from the defender.

The captain waited for more but that was all the man had muttered. It made him smile in relief, Sayuri had managed to impress the coach enough to render him speechless.

There was a minute left and Sayuri passed the ball to one of her teammates that was just running around the whole time, unable to get the ball because Akashi and Aomine had ignored the other two the entire time to give them the taste of their own medicine.

"Huh?" The boy stared at her in shock when he received the ball.

"Shoot it!" Sayuri said making him snap out of it and shoot the ball.

It went in just as the buzzer buzzed, signalling the end of the game.

8-19. The gymnasium erupted into yells and cheers, amazed at how the game turned out.

"That was so cool, Sayuri! We need to have a one on one together," Aomine said, wrapping his arm around her shoulder to drag her with him to the stands where the crowd was.

"I'd definite lose. You're just too fast, AHOmine." She pushed him off her, cackling when he yelled.

"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?!"

"You heard me! Who said you could call me by my first name??" Despite arguing, both of them had wide smiles on their faces.

"Dai-chan! Shi-chan! That was amazing!" Momoi squealed when they got near, "I've never seen anyone play better than Dai-chan. Shi-chan, you're so cool," she moved to hug the girl's arm, giggling in delight that her friend won.

"She was NOT better than me," Aomine crossed his arms, "Take that back, Satsuki!" He was right. If they were to play one on one, Sayuri would definitely lose. If she did not imbue any cursed energy that is. Aomine was too agile on his feet, he played aggrressively and Sayuri recognised some of his movements were from street basketball.

Sayuri was not very much skilled, she mostly practiced on shooting and countering opponents (Suguru) while Aomine seemed to tick all criteria of basketball.

"She did a dunk! You've never done that, Dai-chan," Momoi said, refusing to look at her best friend and began to fawn over Sayuri.

"That's because I'm not tall enough. But since Sayuri is shorter than me that means I can actually do it too! Sayuri, teach me how to jump like that!" Sayuri ignored Aomine, not wanting to explain how she did it. She could not have done it without her powers, it was careless of her to do it but she felt like showing off to prove them her strength. And that worked, the people who doubted her ended up cheering for her to win.

"That really surprised me, Shiroi-san. I did not know you were capable of that." Akashi wiped his forehead with a towel, panting heavily from the game. "Are you not tired?" He asked, realising the girl was still standing tall when the people that they had played with was slumped on the ground or panting for their life.
