Two hearts interwined yet kept apart,
Destined to love but unable to start.
Their souls cry out in silent pain,
Longing to be together but in vain.
What if we were meant to be
But they broke us apart cruelly
Torn apart by words unkind
Leaving us both lost and blind
In another life, perhaps will will find,
A love that's free and unconfined.
But for now, we must cherish the pain,
Of a love that could not be, yet remains.
For in this world of uncertainty and doubt
I know deep down, without a doubt
That if we were meant to be
Nothing can break our love between you and me.
