The rays of the sun flew into the room, marking my skin as I tried to doose off just ten minutes more. The door flung open causing me to open my eyes in a panic.
"Amelia?!" My mom yelled. "What?!" I yelled back in panic, looking around the room to see if there was anything bad in it. "Wake up, eat, get ready and then wake up your brother." She started to walk out of the room but turned around. "Lia, I made breakfast." She added. Oh, right, wake up my brother. Yeah, he is nineteen but he's deaf, so he doesn't hear the alarm clock, so I have to be the one waking him up.

I finally gathered the courage to get out of bed and walk towards the bathroom. I wash my face from the leftovers of my skin-care, groaning at the cold water. Remembering that my mom had made breakfast I rushed downstairs. "Thanks for the toast, mom!" I yelled as I opened the door to our backyard, to find my mom and dad sitting there drinking their coffee and smoking. Great. Another morning of that. I close the door, letting my two bull terrier's shower me with love before making coffee, mixing it with milk and ice, and drinking it with my toast. I eat quickly so I get enough time in the bathroom, so I get my peace.

"Hey..Caleb.." I muttered, shaking his arms and his legs to try to wake him up. "Huh?!" he pauses, opening his eyes before closing them immediately due to the light in his room. I had opened the curtain letting the rays of sun traveling across the room, to quicken him to wake up. "Ten more minutes.." he muttered, falling back to sleep. "Oh hell no. I didn't get ten more minutes." I snapped, shaking him harder. "Amelia!" "No!" I yelled, even though he couldn't hear me. I shook him again, harder this time, and he finally snapped, murmuring curses under his breath before walking to the bathroom, giving me enough time to gather my stuff.

Even though I had already organized everything I was going to need for today. My skin-care products, sunscreen, – I don't know if I'll need it to where I'm going – my clothes and my suitcases that were already in order, ready to zip them up.
