WHEN THE WAR FINNALY ENDED, and Voldemort's downfall was the cause of celebration for days in the wizarding world, the Potter family could finally breathe in peace. There were no more threats to them, and they could now live with their little son in peace.
They moved to a new house, in a village in the remote part of England, where other wizarding families also lived hidden so they could use all their magic without being seen by Muggles. It was a very pleasant place, being surrounded by trees, large fields and also mountains, and difficult to access without magic.
The two families, Potter and Black, decided to live close to each other - this, perhaps, was James and Sirius' idea -. And that was why they lived in houses built on the same land, practically opposite each other. There was a large green area around them, where a playground was also planned for their children to play. There was a tool shed nearby, which served to store their cars and useless things.
There was also an adaptation in the basement of Sirius and Remus' house, so that Sirius could live with the full moons. The walls were insulated with magic and the space was much larger, so that he could transform and spend the nights of the full moon there. This was also a discreet way for them to live with the secret, and so far it had worked.
But the fact that they had separate houses didn't stop them from spending time together in just one house during the day. They would meet for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Birthdays and parties were always celebrated with a lot of fun. And the children loved it all the more, because they could always be playing with someone their own age and sharing the same childish energy.
Lotus and Harry were growing up together, but they were full of differences. The girl was much more restless, she loved to always be on the move, listen to music with Sirius, and seemed to be connected to an energy field that never turned off. Potter, on the other hand, was a little calmer, he preferred games that could be played sitting down, and mostly just observed the energy that his friend transmitted.
They were complete opposites, but within two years they had become inseparable best friends. They enjoyed being together, even if it was just to sit on the lawn of their house and be silent, watching the birds during the day, or the stars at night.
