It was as if the world had turned into a dull monochrome. The sky was overcast with heavy clouds, blocking any light from coming through the gloom on the battlefield. As the rain drizzled down, the surrounding was cleared with a bleak atmosphere, matching the dark aura that surrounded over the people gathered around each other.
The sound of silence filled the air, not a single person spoke as they watched the scene in front of them unfold in despair.
They're last hope of resistance had fallen.
The blonde-haired boy laid down on the ground with his face shut as his body grew cold, his once bright and vivid smile alongside with his loud voice was gone and replaced with a calm expression of one resting but everyone knew what it really meant.
A young pink haired girl was crouched next to him as she kept pumping into his chest yet nothing she did would change the final outcome.
"Sakura, stop it." A voice called out from behind her as the person came forward and held her shoulder while pulling her back.
while the young boy laid motionless on the ground after the fierce battle, Sakura knelt beside him desperately trying to save his life. Her hands pressed against his chest as she poured her remaining strength into trying to resurrect him, tears streaming down her face, refusing to give up.
As the people surrounding them looked in shock, watching the scene unfold, the reality sank in that Sakura's own life was draining to the boy she loved. Her own heartbeat slowing down, her eyes fluttering before a small pitiful smile came across her face as she sighed in pain before she closed her eyes, her body collapsed against Naruto's lifeless body.
In the moment she fell to the ground a group came forward as if just finishing from the earlier fight from afar they watched the scene infront of them. A certain white-haired man walked forward from the group as his eyes widen in shock from the scene in front of him.
"Naruto? Sakura.?" his face grew pale at the sight infront of him of his two students laying lifeless across from him, his mind went blank in that moment. Blocking out the surrounding peoples voices, as people sobbed and other walked towards the corpses and others gave a moment of silence out of respect.
Another figure walked towards the group his face slightly frowning at the two bodies laying in-front of his eyes. He didn't want to believe it but he couldn't help but let out a small sigh, before he could speak up he heard one of the fellow ninjas that went towards the bodies shriek in shock making him open his eyes to find the blond-haired boy awake with a frightening look in his face.
"Naruto..?" the man mumbled before walking towards the young boy who was still glancing over at the body next to him.
"Sakura-Chan..?" A small sob broke from his voice, last he remembered was being in pain and his body slowly fleeting from his control as he felt he was losing control over himself. Yet next thing he knew he was waking up, with not a single problem in his body.
Realization slowly creeping up on him as he glanced around him, seeing the crowd looking at him in shock. He now realized what happened, Sakura-Chan his teammate and best friend had sacrificed her life force in order to bring him back from the dead. He felt his world crumbling as tears fell from his face, he couldn't hold back his sobs as a familiar figure held him close.
He couldn't control it, and so that pitiful night many mourned the loss of Sakura Haruno. A promising kunochi with a very bright future, all taken from her due to her self-less sacrifice for her best friend and life teammate. The day the war was won, her name was remembered through the lands, as many renowned her as one of the saviors that saved the world.
