That's it, another fanfic \(°o°)/ Well, my inspiration was a C.ai bot. I've been planning to write a fanfic like this for a while now, but I didn't know how to start, but now I decided to give it a try (I started writing on Wednesday night). Please ignore any spelling mistakes, English is not my native language. I would also like to know your opinion about my writing. Please comment. Oh, and I still haven't come up with an idea for the cover of this story, so it'll just be this photo of Veronica for now >.<

September 1, 1996

I wake up to my alarm clock going off. Ugh, today is the first day of school... Sighing, I sit up in bed and turn off the alarm clock. I stretch and get up to start getting ready. After a quick shower, I put on my casual clothes and head downstairs for breakfast.

- Good morning, Y/N - My sister, Emilly, greets me. My parents died in a plane crash when I was 15, and since then I have lived with my older half-sister. She's a bit complicated, but she's a great sister - Ready for the first day of school?

- Well... I guess so - I say as I sit at the table and prepare my cereal.

- Will Morgan get you? - She asks, sitting down in front of me.

- Yes - I say as I eat my cereal. Morgan is my best friend, she gives me a ride to school every day.

- That's great. - Emilly checks her watch - I have to go now, I can't be late - She stands up while grabbing her bag and car keys. Yes, she has a car but she can't take me to the school, because she needs to get home early from work. "When I'm making good money I'll buy you a nice car," she would tell me. - Wash the dishes before you leave and lock the door.

- Yes captain - I scoff.

Emilly rolls her eyes and kisses my temple - Have a good day at school, I  love you - She heads for the door and leaves.

- I love you too... - I mumble

-----------------------------------------------------------

I was standing outside, waiting for Morgan, when she finally shows up in her pink Porsche.

- Wow, where's the party? - I ask, approaching the car and getting in on the passenger side. Morgan is well dressed, as if she were going to the nightclub, and not to school, aka a mental hospital.

- Oh, please Y/N, you know very well that we have to keep up appearances everywhere, even more so at school - She rolls her eyes behind her sunglasses.

Morgan is the typical spoiled and preppy girl, she would give anything to be the popular girl and queen bee of the school, but lost the position to Elizabeth King, another spoiled and preppy girl, but mean and arrogant. Morgan is nicer and friendlier, although she can also be annoying at times. She and I didn't get along at first, with the right to fights and disagreements, but eventually we became close and today we are best friends. We don't have much in common, but we still get along.

- You should know that, after all your sister is a designer - She says, stopping at the red light and checking her impeccable nails.

- I KNOW, but she and I don't have much in common... - I say, shrugging.

- Oh come on! If I had a fashion designer sister, I would always be in fashion - Morgan rolls her eyes again.

I sigh and decide to change the subject - So, how do you think the first day will be?

- Well, I think it will be like all the others, the teachers explaining what we will study during the year and so on. Oh, and finally we won't have to deal with Mrs. Jones anymore! - Mrs. Jones was our literature teacher. Old and boring, her classes were a torment. No one could really enjoy literature with her. She was about 66 years old. During the summer holidays we heard that her heart problems had worsened, which caused her to finally retire (as she could no longer cope with the stress of teaching). So now we would have a new literature teacher.

- What do you think the new teacher is like? - I ask her.

- I hope he's a hot man! - Morgan sighs.

- Ugh Morgan! Haven't you learned anything from Mr. Smith's case?

- I know, I know! I'm just saying...

We finally arrived at school. When we entered we met Carson and Carlton, our bests friends. For a long time Carson was my only friend at school. He and I had something in common: We were both gays and nerds (Carson is actually bisexual), outcasts at Westeburg High. Morgan joined us out of choice, since she didn't have many friends... Carlton is the typical "hot" football player, for some reason he decided to join us. Carson and I suspect that he has a crush on Morgan, but we never talk about it. He's annoying sometimes, but he's also a good friend. And besides, we think it's an advantage to have a popular guy among us... So, he and Morgan was the only straight persons in the group.

- Hey, girls! - Carson and Carlton comes up to us. Carson is a short, dark-skinned boy, even cute. Carlton is tall and half blond.

- Hey guys - We both greeted them.

- I already got our schedules, we have three classes together today! - Carson and Morgan celebrate with little screams, while I roll my eyes playfully.

At that moment, I saw her, coming out of the teachers' bathroom.  A tall, thin, and beautiful woman. She had short, black, wavy hair and was wearing a blue suit. Is she some kind of teacher...? She looks so young...

- Drooling, Y/N? - Carlton laughs.

- W-what? - I ask, coming back to myself.

- You were staring at her! - Carson laughs some more - That's Veronica Sawyer, our new literature teacher.

Veronica Sawyer... A beautiful name for a beautiful woman...

- Pff, I was expecting a hot guy... - Morgan laments.

- Come on Morgan, you already have a hot guy right in front of you! - Carlton shows off to Morgan, making her roll her eyes.

Carson and I laughed, although he agreed with Carlton a little... Eventually the bell rings, and it's time for us to go to our first class, Math. When we enter we go to our usual seats, at the back. Mr. Robson is already here, already writing formulas on the board. He is a short, pot-bellied and bald man with thick glasses and a mustache.

- Good morning, everyone. - He says in his monotonous voice - We'll start with Baskara's Formula...

- Seriously... Why do we have to learn this? - Carlton asks - We'll never have to use this!

- Well, it's useful for engineers... I think - I say.

- It turns out I'm not going to be an engineer! - He answers harshly.

- Silence! - Mr. Robson says, before turning back to the table and reading his newspaper.

After a torturous hour, class finally comes to an end. Mr. Robson gathers his things and walks out.

- So, what are we going to have class on now? - Morgan asks, while filing her nails.

- I'll check the diary... - Carlton replies, opening his backpack.

But at that moment, the teacher enters the room. And it is precisely she. I barely hear Carson say, "Ah, it's literature!"

- Good morning class - The new teacher says, not really excitedly, I'm Veronica Sawyer, but you can call me Miss Sawyer. - She says, writing her name on the blackboard - I'm your new literature teacher.

- Did you like it, Y/N? - Carson whispers, nudging me.

- Shut up, idiot - I whisper back, taking my eyes off Miss Sawyer this time. But I can't deny it, I barely know her and I feel like I'm already having a crush on her... Oh God, why am i like this?!
