My World (L x Reader oneshot)

My World

You were basically the polar opposite of L. Beautiful, good with people... Everyone adored you. Nobody would ever think that the two of you would meet... At least not until one significant event.

"DADDY!" you screamed as your father fell onto the floor next to your feet. You dialed 911 and an operator immediately answered the call.

"911, what is your situation?"

"(Y/N) (L/N), on (Street name) Street. My father just collapsed! Please hurry!"

"We are on our way."

You crouched down to face your father. "Daddy? Please stay with me? You're all I have. I need you to stay!"

"(Y/N)." your father managed to gasp.

"Yes Daddy?"

"I'm not going to make it, darling."

"What? No! Don't say that!"

"(Y/N). Go to the basement. Get that suitcase that I have been working on. Then find him. L."

"What? I don't even know what's in that suitcase. And who is L?"

"Look in the case if you want. Just find him. Please." He gave you a weak smile before he finally closed his eyes and fell into his eternal slumber.

You couldn't stop your tears from flowing. "Daddy!!!" You heard the sirens outside. You needed to complete Daddy's last wish.

They pronounced that Daddy was dead and took him away. The funeral would be in a week. You walked down to the basement. You went to Daddy's desk. 'Where is that suitcase?' You looked under the desk. 'Oh, right here.' You obtained the suitcase. You peeked inside. The first thing that you saw was "Kira." Was this what killed Daddy? It seems that Kira has killed many people, criminals at first, but later on, innocent people. Next, was L.

"Ryuzaki, there is someone here to see you."

"Hm. That's a first. I shall accept their request. Thanks Matsuda."

You walk up to a lanky and barefoot man with spiky black hair and tired and dark eyes. It looks like he hasn't slept in months. Although he looked like a mess, he was strangely attractive. You blushed when he walked towards you and shooed Matsuda away.

"Um. L?"

"Yes, that is the name people address me as."

"My father has been killed by Kira."

"I'm very sorry for your loss. But it was not necessary for you to come here. We have all of the details on Kira. We will obtain justice for you very soon."

"No. I came here to deliver a suitcase to you that will aid you on this case."

"Hm?" You placed the suitcase on the table and click it open. He widened his tired eyes. "This could be a turning point in the entire case! I would like to discuss this with you in the sweets cafe later today." Your face immediately turned bright red.

"L-like a d-date?"

"I wouldn't say that," your face darkened in disappointment, "but whatever floats your boat. First, I would like to know your name."

"My name is Tsubaki Sano," you answered without hesitation.

"Okay. See you later, Miss Sano. I will meet you at the sweets cafe down the block."

You can't let him know your name just yet! They still haven't caught the infamous Kira, and you were not taking any chances.

You walked towards the cafe in your short stripe dress and black heels (shown in the image above). You had to make sure that you looked gorgeous for your first date in months. As you approached the cafe, you noticed L outside with his hands in his pockets. He noticed you and waved his hand to flag you down.
