The sterile, dimly lit room was cold and uninviting, designed to make anyone sitting in the chair across from the detectives feel uncomfortable. Balto, a grizzled man with a scar running down the side of his face, sat defiantly with his arms crossed. His eyes were hard, showing no sign of breaking. Detective Tsukauchi and Detective Akatsutsumi stood on the other side of the table, studying him.

"So," Momoko started, her voice sharp, "you're not going to talk? Not even after everything that went down today?"

Balto's lips curled into a sneer. "I got nothing to say."

Momoko's expression didn't change, but there was a dangerous glint in her eyes. She stepped closer, her heels clicking against the floor.

"Maybe you didn't hear me clearly. Let me rephrase that." With a swift motion, she grabbed the front of Balto's shirt, pulling him close enough that their faces were inches apart. "You're going to tell me what I want to know, or I'll make sure you regret it."

Balto hesitated, the confidence in his eyes wavering as he saw the determination in Momoko's. After a tense silence, he finally muttered, "Fine. Some woman named Cassandra hired us. Said we needed to grab some girl—Eri."

Detective Tsukauchi, standing behind Momoko, nodded as he listened.

"He's telling the truth," he confirmed.

Momoko released Balto, letting him fall back into the chair. "Why does Cassandra want Eri? What's she planning?"

Balto scowled, rubbing his chest where Momoko had gripped him. "I don't know, I just do the jobs I'm paid for. Didn't ask any questions."

Momoko narrowed her eyes, clearly displeased with the lack of information. "You're done, then?"

Balto crossed his arms again, shutting down. "Yeah, I'm done talking."

Momoko exchanged a glance with Tsukauchi, who nodded toward the door. The two detectives exited the room, the door closing with a heavy thud behind them.

In the hallway, Tsukauchi let out a weary sigh. "We're getting nowhere with this investigation. Every lead seems to hit a dead end."

Momoko, leaning against the wall, tapped her chin thoughtfully. "At least we have a name now. Cassandra. It's not much, but it's something. If we can get a description of her maybe we can narrow down our list of suspects."

Tsukauchi nodded in agreement.

"It's a start, but it's been a long day," he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck.

Momoko yawned, stretching her arms above her head. "You're telling me. I could go for a glass of wine right about now."

Tsukauchi chuckled lightly. "After work we should head out to the bar, maybe grab some drinks and unwind."

Momoko raised an eyebrow, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "Are you taking me out on a date, Tsukauchi?"

He rolled his eyes, snickering. "You're a bit too young for me."

"Twenty-six is a perfectly fine age," Momoko teased, laughing softly as she followed him down the hallway.

As they walked away, Momoko subtly slipped a note from her pocket, carefully tucking it behind her back. It was a piece of intel she had managed to obtain from one of the other villains—information about Cassandra's whereabouts. She glanced at it briefly before hiding it away again, a small, satisfied smile playing on her lips.

Eri and Kota decided to spend the night in Eri's room, the events of the day weighing heavily on both of them. Kota lay sprawled on Eri's bed, staring up at the ceiling, his thoughts racing.
