Authors note: sorry I'm so late to writing this chapter. I'm super busy with school and I got sick for a bit, but her you go!
Marcy let out a sigh, turning off her iPad and standing up from her desk. She just finished another chapter of her webcomic which she was glad. She stretched out a bit, before making her way up to her room. It was a cold and rainy day, meaning she couldn't really go outside, nor did she want to. But that also meant a perfect excuse to sit in her bed while binging snacks and watching random shows.
She grabbed some chips that she brought up to her room the other day, as well as a box of chocolates, before grabbing her computer and turning it on, before open Netflix.
It took a good few minutes for her to set it up, but once she had, she spent the next few hours just watch shows and eating snacks, the rain pounding in the background.
Once she was finally done, she got up from her bed, stepping into her bathroom and deciding to take a shower. She lit a few candles to give it more atmosphere and the turned on the hot water for the shower. One of her favorite things was to shower on rainy days with only the light from candles, it really calmed her, along with the awesome vibes it gave off.
She took off her clothes, placing them on a counter and decided she would deal with them after her shower. She made sure the water was the perfect temperature before stepping onto the tile of the shower floor and closing the door with a small 'click'
She let out a content sigh as the water hit her body, running down her skin and landing on the floor, creating a soft sound in the small box. It was calming just as she had hoped and she hadn't showered a while, she was quite overdue so finally getting clean felt nice.
After a few minutes of just letting the water run down her body, she took a few pumps of shampoo In her hand before massaging it into her hair. The feeling soothing on her head. Her fingers worked through her locks of hair as she made sure not to accidentally tug on it.
Slowly but surely, the water washed the shampoo out of her hair, staining the water white as it went in whirlpools before sinking down the drain.
Marcy continued to run her fingers through her hair until and the shampoo was out, before moving out the conditioner.
It was colder and less bubbly but still soothing on the head. Marcy let out a small hum, her eyes closed as the conditioner worked through her hair, making it silky and clean.
Just as before, the water began to wash the conditioner out, making it cascade down the drain never to be seen again.
Marcy took a few more minutes to just enjoy the shower before actually getting out. The sound of the water hitting the shower floor mimicking the sound of the rain outside.
Eventually though, Marcy stepped out of the shower, wrapping her body in a towel and drying her hair a bit before tossing her clothes from earlier in her laundry basket. She then collapsed on her bed, grabbing a few chips and munching on them while she resumed watching whatever interesting shows she could find.
She took this time to mostly dry off, but it was much longer than anticipated due to her snacking and mass show watching.
She pulled herself out of bed and pulled on some night time clothes, before laying on her bed and falling asleep.
The last thing she thought before dozing off was that she was definitely going to that coffee shop in the morning.
