The evening is quiet, the house eerily still as Y/N steps through the door. The tension in the air is palpable, and her heart sinks when she sees Jungkook sitting at the dining table, his posture rigid, his eyes fixed on the door as if he's been waiting for her.
Jungkook: (His voice is low, a mix of confusion and impatience as he looks up at Y/N.) "Where were you? I've been waiting here for you and Mia."
Y/N: (She hesitates, her heart heavy with the weight of what she has to say. Her voice is calm, but there's an undercurrent of sadness.) "I... I took Mia to the hospital. She wasn't doing well. I couldn't leave her like that."
Jungkook: (His expression falters for a moment, a flicker of sadness crossing his face before he quickly masks it with a stoic demeanor. But the concern in his eyes betrays him.) "Hospital? Is she... is she okay?" (He pauses, then tries to brush off the worry, his tone hardening slightly.) "But where is she now? Why didn't you bring her home?"
Y/N: (Takes a deep breath, her eyes softening as she looks at Jungkook, knowing the impact her next words will have. Her voice is gentle, yet firm.) "Mia said she's not coming back. Not ever."
Jungkook: (His eyes darken, his jaw tightening as the gravity of her words sinks in. His voice is low, almost a growl, filled with a mixture of disbelief and determination.) "Not coming back? What do you mean? I'm her husband. She can't just... leave. I'll bring her back. She belongs here."
Y/N: (Sighs deeply, a sad smile tugging at her lips as she watches him, knowing how futile his efforts will be. Her voice is soft, almost resigned.) "Jungkook... she's made up her mind. I don't think you can change it this time."
Jungkook: (He doesn't listen, already grabbing his car keys with a resolute expression. His voice is sharp, leaving no room for argument.) "No. I'll make her come back. She's my wife-she belongs with me." (Without another word, he storms out, the door slamming behind him.)
Y/N: (She stands there for a moment, watching the door as a bitter laugh escapes her lips. She chuckles sadly, shaking her head at the situation, at Jungkook's stubbornness. The irony of it all isn't lost on her, and there's a deep sorrow in her eyes as she whispers to herself.) "Always chasing... never letting go."
Y/N slowly climbs the stairs to her room, the weight of the evening pressing down on her. The house feels emptier now, the silence more oppressive.
As she enters her room, she closes the door behind her, leaning against it as she lets out a weary sigh. She walks to the window, watching as the night settles in, her thoughts drifting to Mia, to Jungkook, to the tangled mess of their lives.
In her mind, she wonders about the future, about the choices they've all made. Her heart aches with the knowledge that no matter how hard they try, some things can never be the same.
And as she stands there, bathed in the pale light of the moon, she realizes that this might be the beginning of the end for all of them.
Y/N: "What are we all chasing, really? Happiness? Redemption? Or just... the illusion of it?"
The night air is cold as Jungkook arrives at Mia's house, the silence pressing in around him. His footsteps echo on the pavement as he approaches the door, a sense of dread settling in his stomach.
He reaches for the doorknob, but his hand freezes as he sees the lock firmly in place. His heart skips a beat, and a wave of panic begins to rise.
Jungkook: (Whispers to himself, his voice laced with disbelief and growing anxiety.) "Locked...? No, no, this can't be happening..." (He bangs on the door a few times, hoping against hope that she's inside and will answer. But the silence that greets him is deafening.)
