For one night every other month, SMG1, 2, 3, 4 and Mario make time to all go out together as a group. Where they go is not important. Sometimes bowling, other times they stay in and have a movie night and occasionally they would do an escape room but that was less often now due to Mario complaining nonstop about his brain hurting from the puzzles.
The reason for these meet ups? Well, it was always nice to keep in contact with old friends, right? Plus, it gave the group time to catch up on meme guardian-related stuff. One and Two usually ended up berating Three and Four for not training as often as they should and Three and Four would complain they haven't had a meme guardian-related problem in over a year so training was a waste of time. Then Mario would just sit back and watch the guardians squabble with each other for about an hour before finally letting up and spending the rest of the day having fun as a group.
All five of them thoroughly looked forward to these days and always enjoyed them no matter where they were. And it's just so happened that this time, they were at a bar.
"One, why did you pick this place?" SMG4 asked the smaller guardian.
"Well, Bob told me about this nice bar and I had been meaning to go check it out anyway so I figured that it would be a nice location for this month's meet up." SMG1 smiled.
The bar was tucked away between two buildings, making it practically invisible to most people unless you were actively looking for it. It was relatively small in size but there were a few booths that ran along the walls. The bar itself was nicely lit with a few stools placed in front of it. The rest of the room was littered with chairs, stools, tables and a pool table for guests to use.
The group went over to a booth in the corner of the room and sat down, taking a look over the drinks menu.
"Wow, the stuff here is surprisingly cheap." SMG4 noted
"That's not an excuse to go crazy with the alcohol." SMG1 reminded them which was met with groans from the younger men.
"I think I'll just have a vodka and coke to start with." SMG3 said. "What about you hun?"
"Yeah I'll have the same." Four said.
"Just a soda for me. Someone's gotta drive you idiots home." SMG2 said.
"Well I guess that means I'm clear to have a margarita." SMG1 smiled.
"Really? A margarita? As your first drink?" SMG2 raised an eyebrow.
"Oh let me treat myself. You know I don't get around to doing all that much at this age. A bit of fun won't hurt."
"Alright, if you say so..." Two seemed doubtful of One's decision but decided not to push it further.
"Mario will have a Negroni." The Italian smiled.
Four rolled his eyes at the stereotype and smiled at his friend.
"So," he said, "who wants to go up and order the drinks?"
"I'll go." One volunteered, hopping out from the booth.
"Great. Mario you go too." Four said to the man in red.
"Wha? Why does Mario have to go?!" Mario complained.
"Because you can't seriously expect SMG1 to carry all those drinks by himself." Four said blankly.
Mario groaned but stood up anyway. He and the shorter meme guardian walked over to the bar, chatting as they did so.
"So remind Mario again, how did you find out about this place?" The Italian asked.
"Oh, Bob told me about it." SMG1 answered.
