"What are you doing there?" Thyme's voice cuts through the awkward silence as I stand near the room door.

I shift nervously, running my hand along the wall. "Oh, this wall is so smooth," I say, trying to sound casual. "I-i wonder what cement they used."

Thyme starts removing his suit. "By the way, Kavin, if you want more to drink, care to have some wine with me?"

I shake my head rapidly. "A drink? Uh, no, I'm fine. I don't want to drink anymore."

That'd just make it worse.

"Mmm, okay then."

I stare at the floor, desperately trying to keep my eyes off him. "Sir, um, can we get separate rooms? How can the two of us share a room?"

Thyme pauses and looks at me with a half-smile. "Does it make sense for a couple to sleep in separate rooms?" He walks up to me till my back hits the wall. Again. "How will you explain that to your friends if they find out?"

"I-i mean, that's true, but..."

He backs off, chuckling softly. "Don't worry. I won't do you any harm."

I turn my face away, trying to hide my embarrassment. "Ohh, yes yes. Then you take the bed and I'll sleep on the floor."

He shakes his head, walking back to the closet. "No."

"B-But how can I let you sleep down there?"

"Then how can I let you sleep down there?"

"No, no, I'm more than fine on the floor. It's perfectly okay."

Thyme looks over his shoulder, smirking. "Sleep wherever you want. I'll move you to the bed once you're asleep. Or, is that... what you want?"

I stumble back even though he's not even near me. "NOO. Right, I should sleep in the bed. I'll just put some pillows in between us, thank you. I-I'll clean up first." I shout and dart into the bathroom.

Inside the bathroom, I'm trying to collect myself. This is insane. I can't believe I'm going to be sharing a bed with him.

After almost an hour, I finally emerge and climb onto the bed, pulling the covers up to my chin as Thyme works at the desk.

I pull out my phone and glance at him, only to find him staring back at me. I try to focus on my messages.
