JOHN WINCHESTER DISAPPEARING WAS unusual and worrying to his two oldest children, Dean and Nadia. For the first few days, they left it alone, considering the fact that it could have just been a difficult hunt. But as more time went on without a single answer from him, the two of them were beyond nervous.
They hadn't seen their little brother, Sam, in years. He was off at Stanford in college—a path that Dean and Nadia couldn't choose for themselves. But if they wanted to find their father, they needed all hands on deck; all Winchesters working together.
Nadia watched in annoyance, her arms crossed over her chest and Sam and Dean tried to take each other down; Sam thinking there was an intruder in his apartment. Dean eventually ended up on top.
"Dean?" Sam questioned, utterly confused at the sight of his brother's face. Dean softly chuckled. "You scared the crap out of me."
"That's 'cause you're out of practice," Dean pointedly said, quickly proven wrong when Sam easily flipped them around. Dean chuckled again. "Or not. Get off me."
"Can you two stop being knuckleheads and get to the point?" Nadia asked impatiently, raising her eyebrows.
Sam turned to her with shock. "Nadia!" He rushed to his sister, pulling her into his arms. She was startled for a moment, before awkwardly hugging him back.
"What the hell are you guys doing here?" he asked, pulling away from Nadia.
"I was looking for a beer," Dean grinned, fucking around.
A light flicked on from the other side of the room and Nadia looked over to see a blonde girl in pajamas standing in the doorway. "Sam?"
"Jess, hey," Sam greeted. "Dean, Nadia, this is my girlfriend, Jessica."
"Wait." Jessica's face contorted into confusion. "Your brother and sister Dean and Nadia?" Finally, a tentative smile spread across her face.
"I love the smurfs," Dean grinned, pointing at her shirt. Nadia reached over and punched his arm, hard . Leave it to Dean to flirt with his brother's girlfriend. He turned to her, a startled and pained look on his face. "Ow! What the hell, Nadia?"
She gave him a stern look, angrily raising her brows and tightly pursing her lips. With a very slight nod over to Sam, she silently gave him a warning. He only rolled his eyes. Dean may have been the oldest by two years, but in many ways, Nadia had always felt like the oldest. For all of their lives, it was always her keeping Dean and Sam straight and out of trouble as best as she could. Maybe that was because she was the only daughter, sandwiched between two boys.
Dean went on with using that flirty tone with Jessica, walking closer to her. "You know, I gotta tell you. You are completely out of my brother's league."
