It's a chilly and silent night, the usual. There I was, katana neatly sheathed by my hip, hands in my pockets as I casually approached the regular meeting place.
In a world full of Meisters and Weapons, my two siblings and I were the three exceptions. I walked into the abandoned warehouse. The interior was dark but my eyes quickly adjusted as I was used to it. I proceeded to where my sister stood by a table, her two katanas sheathed and strapped across her back.
Apart from the similar craftsmanship of our katanas (and our general resemblance), our startling red eyes would tell you at a glance that we were related. "Jade", I greeted her. "Scarlet", she saw me as well. Quickly, we got to discussing business.
"A job across the forest for you. A certain affluent man needs humbling on how he exploits his wealth", my sister told me as I leaned across the edge of the table with my arms crossed. "And I've got a lead on your case too", I told her rising from the table. Soon, we were done exchanging information and exited the warehouse. When you're like us, the job is never done.
In a world full of Meisters and Weapons, my two siblings and I were the only exceptions. We were the last three survivors of the Executioner clan, a mysterious assassin clan of old. Our clan never used the similar cliché methods of everyone else around us. We were more traditional. We were Meisters but we did not use transforming Weapons. We made use of traditional katanas, and relied majorly on our personal skills and techniques.
There was my older sister, Jade Executioner. Wielding two katanas, she was the oldest out of the three of us and she was basically in command of our operations. There was my older brother, Carbon Executioner, who preferred to go by his real name. Wielding one katana, he was the middle child out of three of us, far older than me, though not much younger than my sister. He was occupied with his own personal work and so hardly came around, but we still knew his whereabouts.
Then, there was I, Scarlet Executioner. Wielding one katana, I was the youngest out of the three yet the most prodigious. They called me "Prodigy Progeny" because of how precocious I was with the blade at such a young age. In general, I was the most impressive fighter out of the three of us but my sister was the smartest and my brother was the hardest to beat.
Three of us made it this far with traditional Executioner methods. That showed we were the anomalies in this world.
