In mere days, the familiar world disintegrated.

The first signs were subtle—hushed reports on news channels about an unusual sickness spreading through rural communities. This mysterious ailment left those afflicted ghostly pale and disorientated, their minds seemingly adrift. Initially dismissed as yet another strain of influenza, a temporary inconvenience destined to pass with time, it was largely ignored.

However, as days stretched into weeks, the quiet murmurs of concern crescendoed into desperate pleas for assistance.

When the first city succumbed to silence, the signs were clear and undeniable. The streets that had once thrummed with activity now lay hauntingly desolate, strewn with abandoned vehicles and the remnants of a civilization that had grown complacent in its comforts.

A heavy pall of decay hung in the air.

The infected beings were no longer recognizable as the people they once were, they had become something utterly something else—empty vessels propelled by an unquenchable craving for living flesh. They wandered aimlessly through the desolate urban landscape, their ravenous groans reverberating off abandoned buildings. This macabre chorus of the damned created a haunting soundscape, a discordant melody that served as the anthem for this new world of despair.

In this new world, trust became a rare and precious commodity, one that few dared to extend. Survival emerged as the sole driving force, a relentless imperative that overshadowed all else. The fabric of society unraveled rapidly, with long-standing bonds of friendship crumbling under the weight of fear and desperation. Families, once the bedrock of communities, were ripped asunder in the maelstrom of panic and self-preservation. The chaos that ensued laid bare the fragility of human connections when faced with the primal instinct to survive at any cost.

In this bleak new reality, hope flickered like a fragile candle in the oppressive darkness, easily extinguished by the relentless onslaught of the undead. Yet, even amid seemingly insurmountable odds, a spark of defiance ignited within the hearts of some survivors as many resolved to fighting—not only for their own survival but for the very essence of humanity itself.
