Marc Bartra POV
The bus ride couldn't have been any longer than it was. I was exhausted but yet I couldn't go to sleep. I wasn't looking forward to the major jet lag that I was going to experience in the next few hours.
While I was the only one awake on the bus, I thought of Rosa. I know it sounds stupid. Why would I feel sympathy for someone who acted like a complete bitch and used her past as an excuse to be an even bigger one? But I did. Her past was pretty harsh but why would she tell me of all people? I haven't made any conversation with her since I first met her at one of our practices.
Then the stupidest idea came in my head. I had to make it up to her. I felt sort of bad for calling her a bitch so bluntly. It's a dumb idea for two reasons:
1.) I didn't want to make it look like I actually liked her in front of my teammates
2.) I didn't want to hurt Sergi because I knew he might have some feelings for her.I would probably have to explain to Sergi what I'm doing before I decide if I I'm going to take her out or not. In the process of me thinking of what I should do when we get to our hotel, I finally fell asleep.
When I woke up an hour later, I found Pique, Dani, and Neymar taking pictures of me. Dani tried so hard not to laugh until I finally opened my eyes, he bursted into tears.
"Bartra, why do you sleep with your mouth wide open," Pique asked laughing.
"What are you talking about," I asked annoyed.
"Well I thought you said you slept like an angel until we found you like this when we were about to get off the bus," he said showing me a picture he took of me on his phone.
"Well considering I didn't get much sleep like you guys, I'm not going to look like a prince while sleeping. But I actually do sleep like an angel," I said confidently.
"I doubt it bro," Neymar said messing up my hair.
"Whatever," I said as I got up and got my suit case.
I walked into the foyer of our hotel and spotted Sergi sitting down on a chair listening to music. I decided to walk over to him and tell him my plans for the afternoon.
"Hey Sergi," I said as I tapped his shoulder.
He pulled out his headphones and looked up at me, "What's up?"
"Nothing really. I just needed to tell you something. Yesterday when Rosa decided to give me her sob story about her horrible past, I called her a bitch. I felt bad afterwards and I thought I should make it up to her. What should I do?"
"Why would you do that? I mean yeah, she has a weird way of getting her point across but to come to her face and call her a bitch? Man Marc, that was a douche move!"
"Yeah, yeah I know. That's why I was planning on taking her out to eat or something but I also thought it would be weird to do it without telling you because I know you like her."
"Wow, that's really nice of you Marc. Sure, I mean I don't mind. It's not like we're dating. We're just friends. Do you want me to go with you to make it less awkward?"
"Yes, that would be great! Thanks Sergi. I know I don't say it much but I'm glad that there are people like you in this world. You're a great friend"
"Well thanks bud! I really appreciate you looking out for me!"
"Well enough of the bromance, let's go look for Rosa," I said with a smile.
Sergi Roberto POV
I was a bit surprised that Marc asked for my opinion on taking Rosa out as an apology for calling her a bitch. I mean he's usually the guy girls drool over. He's not a player or a douche, he's just a cool, humble guy. Usually his break ups end because he's so busy with football/soccer. I wish I had his charms and character but today Marc's compliments kind of made me feel like I've actually done something right as a person. I mean my past relationships were shit but that wasn't because I was a bad boyfriend. It was because I let people walk all over me. I seem to be too nice or too open to everyone.
