After a excruciatingly long bus ride the twins quickly get up and run to the exit to finally step on the hard ground after hours of being on a moving vehicle. They grab their things from under the bus and turn around to see their two Grunkles.

"Mason! Mabel! How was your summer vacation? Filled with learning I hope." Ford asked, smiling happily to see his great niece and nephew.

Dipper's face instantly lights up after seeing his favorite Grunkle (Not that he doesn't like Stan he just thinks he's intellectually inept compared to Ford) "Of course! I got all A's in every class!" Dipper smiles.

Mabel sighed, " Unfortunately it was filled with learning, and not hot guys..." she snuggled her fat pig,Waddles. "Waddles, can you say Womp, Womp?" Waddles snorts at her. "AWWWWWW"

Ford looks at the two. "Attaboy! Keep up the grades and you'll be working with me soon. And Mabel hasn't changed, much at all." Stan rolls his eyes aggressively at his comment

Mabel looks at him, "Why should I change?" She hugs Waddles closer.

Stan crosses his arms and looks at his brother sassely "Yeah Ford why should she change? Are you saying there somth-"

"Of course not. However this is a time of emotional

development. To become more mature." Ford says.

Dipper pats Mabel on the head and grabs his bag from the ground and motions for Mabel to do the same so they can go get settled into their attic again for the summer.

Once they get to the shack they see Soos outside showing tourists around the place in Stan's old suit. The tourists leave after shoving money in a jar and Soos turns around and sees the Pines family and jogs over to them.

"Hey dudes! It's so cool to see you guys after so long i have a journal of the crazy stuff that has happened!" "Haha get it a journal?" He elbows Dipper and wiggles his eyebrows. Dipper meets his gaze with a slight side eye.

Soos backs up and crosses his arms and nods "I'm sensing you're not in the mood for jokes right now that's cool why don't you dudes go inside?"

Mabel grabs her bag. "Coming Pine Tree? Let's set up our room!!"

Dipper nods and follows her to their room and flops down on the beds they used the year before.

"Dipper look the goats still here and my bedazzle gun and-and" Mabel says, talking at the speed of light. "Yeah everything is the way we left it... suspicious..." Dipper says, looking skeptical.

Mabel side eyes him. "Dipper don't be that way. Bill can't get us. We are finally home to Gravity Falls!"

"Tsk tsk Mabel you think we're safe but that's when he's going to strike! And you'll find out soon enough that being paranoid is the best way to live since you are always expecting things to happen!" Dipper grins and puts his hands on his hips.

"You are a sad, lonely, little man aren't you?"

"Oh Frick off Mabel! You're the one that was chasing boys all summer!! If you're calling me sad you're guilty too!" Dipper says annoyed.

"Exc-" Mabel gets interrupted.

"KIDS DINNERS READY" Stan yells from the main floor calling them. They both race down the stairs trying to get there first before the other. Nudging each other out of the way.

"You suck!" Mabel says, sticking her elbow in his chest.

Ford is sitting at the dining table, reading the newspaper. "Oh hey kiddos! Is your guy's room already set up?"

"Ask Mister paranoid over there." Mabel glares at Ford. "What happened Mason?" Ford looks genuinely confused.

Mabel grabs frozen waffles out of the freezer. Put them in the toaster. "Uhm nothing i mean Mabel is just being dramatic, also can you call me by my nickname...? It just feels weird'' Dipper rubs the back of his neck nervously sweating profusely.

Mabel looks at him pissed. "This is why I love Dippy Fresh and not you." "This is why I like waddles more than you! Have you thought of that! Dipper says, crossing his arms.

"FRICKING SAME." Mable yells.
