."Then what the fuck do we do?" The blonde haired boy slammed his hands down on the desk, which his manager, a lazy-eyed long haired man, had been sat behind. He didn't flinch at the boy's gesture.
"Katsuki," the blonde's name was Katsuki. "I can't do anything about it. We don't have enough people to watch the kids. Unless you three can handle 137 children, it's not gonna happen." Katsuki gave the man a stern look before scoffing and flipping around. He was reaching for a handle when a small, shaky knock emerged. Katsuki swung it open to find a shorter boy, sweating and weakly smiling with a slip of paper in his shaky hands. He grabbed his collar, shoving him into the room.
"Kat! Don't throw people around!" A brown haired girl put her hands on her hips, pouting at the rude gesture. He helped the boy straighten up, rubbing his shoulder in quite a friendly manner and smiling. The boy didn't mirror it.
"O-oh uhm. Apologies, I'm Izuku Midoriya! I heard there's a job open.?" He slid his application onto the dark haired male's desk. He played with his fingers nervously, squeezing his eyes shut and opening them straight after due to the slight aching pain.
"Not bad, kid. Why do you wanna work here." He gave the messy haired boy a threatening look, as if, if he didn't give a certain answer, he would've been kicked out of the lodge and been right back to square one.
"Oh, well, I really love working with kids, I feel a sort of connection with them, and they tend to like me too. Even the short tempered ones, I usually get through to them eventually. I have a lot of experience working with them, I used to work as a substitute in a kindergarten, and they all seemed to really like me!" He stopped in the middle to sigh, and laughed breathily. "I'm quite a patient person too, I don't get too stressed normally, I think of myself as quite a calm person. But I'm also super helpful! I love helping out when I can!" The rest of the workers in the office had their jaws slacked. "Oh, and-"
"Okay." Izuku stopped. "Midoriya, I see you're quite passionate about this. I hate to put this on you, especially so soon, but. You're hired." Izuku's eyes widened, beaming with joy.
"Thank you so much! He smiled with so much intensity it looked painful. He reached out a hand to shake the others, when he took it he shook it with full speed and force.
"Looking forward to working with you." He smiled. Katsuki gaped. It wasn't often that their manager, Shota Aizawa, actually genuinely smiled. But he could tell how actually genuine this smile was. And that filled him with a boiling anger, one that he hadn't felt since he was a child. He slightly calmed himself, stomping out of the door and slamming it shut. Some paintings shook. "Sorry, about Katsuki, he has a short tempter. Maybe you could get through to him." Shota smiled softly, leaning back in his chair. "Why don't you get to know your co-workers. I'm sure they'd love you." He looked at the brown haired girl.
So did Izuku. She had big, brown eyes, following with the same shade of hair. Just her eyes stood out more with the camp uniform. It wasn't anything serious, just any bottoms of your choice, just no skirts, and a red shirt with their logo on it, following with a badge of their role. She was wearing some rather feminine shorts that complimented her thighs. Izuku didn't pay much attention to her appearance though, he just wanted to get to know her.
"Hi! I'm Ochaco Uraraka. I can show you around if you'd like!" She smiled widely, this time, Izuku did smile back. Their smiles were extremely similar. Full of confidence and genuine happiness. The other boy there noticed this, as well as the other. Izuku looked over to them, smiling slightly smaller.
There was a red haired one, his hair quite high and spiked above his head. He smiled back, full slightly sharp teeth appearing from his mouth. "I'm Eijirou Kirishima! Sorry about Bakugo, he can be a handful.."Izuku smiled back, quite shocked at how he suited them. He was also wearing shorts, well, jorts. They suited him. He had an array of bracelets. One of them similar to Katsuki's who had stormed out for a reason that was unknown. He assumed they were matching, which he found quite sweet. Another boy stood next to him. A purple haired boy, which had a similar hairstyle to Kirishima's, just more centered. "Hi. Hitoshi Shinso." Izuku frowned at the dry introduction. Shinso said nothing more.
About an hour later
"And, yeah! That's everything!" She gleamed, toeing off her shoes and socks, sitting on the dock and dipping her feet in the water. Izuku sat next to her, crossing his legs. "How'd you like it? The tour, I mean."
Izuku smiled, looking off into the distance. "It was good! I love the scenery here, especially how many activities that are included, and your friendly personality made it so much better!" Ochaco blushed, not because she was flustered or flattered, but because she knew exactly how much she was going to get along with this new worker.
"Thank you! Do you like hugs?" Izuku smiled, nodding with a warm smile. Ochaco wrapped her arms around him, putting her chin on his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her too, feeling her melt into the embrace.
"Am I fucking interrupting." Izuku flinched, Katsuki shadowing over them with a ring of keys hanging off his finger. He spun them around. "Get out of here, pink cheeks." He leaned on Izuku's hair, the keys close to hitting his nose. Ochaco let go of Izuku, nodding and smiling softly with a hint of sadness. She stood up and dried off her feet, slipping her socks and shoes off and leaving in her car.
Katsuki sat down behind Izuku, stretching his legs out across the dock. Izuku spun around, his legs still crossed. The way Katsuki was lying down made his hair dip slightly in the water, his heels placed on the edge of the other side of the dock, preventing his feet from dipping in.
Izuku broke the silence. "Do you want me to go?"
"Nah. You can stay, I guess. As long as you shut the fuck up." He closed his eyes.
"I can go. Or won't talk. As long as you tell me about you." Katsuki peeked and eye open, glaring at Izuku's smug face. Bakugo hooked the keys on his jeans, sighing and leaning up, one leg perked up and the other one under it, like a car under a tall bridge.
"Name's Katsuki Bakugo. 'M 18, rest is none of your business, little nerd." He flicked Izuku on the nose.
"U-uhm. You could tell me more.. And I'm not a nerd!" He leaned closer to Katsuki.
"Reeeally?" He also leaned in, snaking his hand into the back pocket of Izuku's pants. He squeaked at the sudden hand placement, feeling him snoop around in the pocket. "What's this then?" He pulled out a keychain, a fictional character, a superhero names All Might, spinning it and observing it.
He blushed embarrassed, snatching it off the blonde and putting it back in his pocket. He stood up, stepping over his hand. "I'll see you tomorrow." Katsuki was the one for the night and day shift, so he slept there. He locked Izuku out and flicked his forehead. Izuku giggled.
